Could be a number of things but if the car has not been tuned up in a while, might not be a bad idea to replace spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor, and plug wires. Also fuel and air filters. Something as simple as this more times than not will take care of issues like you are having.
Good Luck!

2006 nissan xterra code p1000

Means it hasn't completed a driveability cycle. I ignore it. But I live in a non inspection state. If you need it cleared. Then you have to look at the readiness state of the sensors. See what failed. Takes a scanner. Also, you can get past the code with a scanner in about an hour. Otherwise it could take up to a month with regular driving. Part of the procedure is. Driving in stop and go traffic. Driving at 30,45, and 60 MPH for so many minutes. Scanner tells you what to do.

I think the truck may have a vapor lock. The reason I think this is because when it is cold it runs great but when it gets the least hot or even warm it acts like it is out of gas and tries to shut do

Has a engine misfire or ignition control module is bad . Your best bet take it to a qualified repair shop that can diagnose the problem by testing an not guessing .

97 acura 3.2 tl temp gauge doesnt read anything stays at cold doesnt move at all, whats could it be???

Your thermostat which closes when cold to let the engine warm up and opens when the water gets hot and lets it circulate through the radiator. If they stick closed your engine overheats in short order. When they stick open it takes forever and a day for the heater to warm sufficiently. This also makes the engine use more fuel. If your thermostat is indeed stuck open it is easy to tell. With the engine cold, take the radiator cap off and start the engine. If it is stuck open water will immediately circulate as seen at the radiator cap opening. If the thermostat were operating normally you would not see water moving for 5 or more minutes of idling. You should always drain the coolant, flush and refill every 2 years. Never ever grab that garden hose and put tap water in your radiator. They come from the factory with distilled water (about $1 a gallon at any grocery store) which has no minerals in it. The minerals in tap water promotes rust and scale build-up in the cooling system reducing it's efficiency. Don't use tap water unless you WANT to have problems.

Cold wether trans slips in and out how do i chang the fuld in trans romrud@aol.com

If your tranny is slipping,,and you want to try something before rebuilding it,,,Go to your local parts store buy a bottle of LUCAS transmission slip fluid,,,comes in a white plastic bottle.Get it warm before you put it in because its think like honey, if you get it warm it will pour in alot faster. Drain your fluid by taking trans pan off, you should get about 4 quarts out by doing this, than put in the Lucas and 3 quarts of sythetic trans fluid, ask for it at auto parts store, after you put all this back in start the car and let it idle for about 15 min, than take it for a ride, 20 miles or so, You should notice it stop slipping, might take a couple days to work through the trans and cure the slipping,,,,,,,,,,,,,,If it dont work than there is something really wrong with the trans,,,But I had it work on a buick 1985 and it ran for 5 years and never sliped again, I used it on a 98 sonoma truck ,it was slipping when trying to shift into second and it is still on the road after 2 years,,,So i know it works. Try it,,cost 12.99 .

The car was running fine we drove it to the store no Problem with the Jaguar 1989 XJ6 the car was running fine we drove it to the grocery store and came out it would not start put gas in it and it...

Sounds like fuel pump is bad. Running fuel low puts alot of strain on electric fuel pumps. The fuel acts as a coolant for the pump, that's why it's advisable to keep at least 1/2 tank. It sounds like your pump finally just gave up. Pump might be making noise but it could just be spinning and not pumping. Have someone test your fuel pressure to confirm.

Believe your fuel pump is bad when you first turn on your ignition (don't try to start car) do you hear a clicking or humming noise? If not you fuel pump may not be working also check fuel pump fuse and relay check owners manual for locations.

When i put the key in and turn it to the on position it always beeps twice to let me know i can start the car .Now when i put the key and do the same thing i hear no beeps and the security light stays on...

Do you have another "programmed" key?
The key may have been damaged (like on a de-magnetizer at a grocery check-out).
A good locksmith can re-program the key (the car must be available when the key/car combination is programmed).
Try WalMart, True Value, Auto supply store .... or *sigh* dealer. Keys are $60 or so.
