If you go to a reputable parts store, they will show you in one of the dodge manuals for you van how to change it, can be quite the task, depending on all extra belt driven accessories you have on the van.Good luck.Make sure first that the water is coming out the weep hole at bottom of pump and not just leaking down a hose clamp.

How do i change the water pump on a 2000 dodge, grand caravan

Removing and changing the water pump on a 2000 Grand Caravan should only be done if your van has a 3.3 liter or 3.8 liter V6 engine. On any other engine types, including four-cylinder engines, you must remove the timing belt from the engine to access the water pump, which is a dangerous task that can mess up the engine if attempted by an amateur.
The procedure is as follows:------------- The water pump is responsible for sending the engine coolant to the engine.First of all remove the serpentine belt then remove the plastic cove on the passenger side behind the wheel. You will have to remove the pulley. Once the pulley is removed unbolt the water pump and remove it. Clean the surfaces and install new pump. Draining the coolant and replacing it is advisable.
Drain the engine coolant, twisting and removing the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator
-------------------Thats it.

Wheres the water pump located in a dodge stratus year 1995

If it's like my wife's '97 stratus, the water pump is driven by the timing belt. That means you have to take a bunch of stuff off that side of the engine, including the engine mount to remove the timing components. How do I know this? A couple years ago, I replaced the timing belt and all associated pulleys and whatnot when the waterpump on that car failed. I did the whole job myself and did not have any leftover parts. Total cost on timing parts and water pump was about $250 at that time. I don't know what it would be now. Good luck to you.

Do I have to remove the timing belt to change the water pump?

the water pump is not driven off the timing belt, so no u just change the pump and leave the belt alone. here is the part number and price for the pump.

95 Dodge Ram is running hot

Replace your serpentine belt, that's the first and foremost thing to do. Everything runs off that belt, including your water pump. If your radiator is not getting the hot air from the engine because the water pump isn't pushing it through, you are VERY likely to overheat and cause costly damage to your engine.

As for your issue regarding the truck having difficult getting into drive, I highly recommend having your fluids and filters changed out, as grime and buildup over the years can have a truly adverse affect on your engine and transmission. Have a transmission shop look at it & get you an estimate if the fluid change doesn't resolve the issue.
