Left headlight out on 99 corolla.... not the bulb, not the fuse.... help

have you checked the headlight switch itself could be a faulty light switch

Check bulbs, test wiring for continuity, check switches and wiring in the instrument panel.

Check for power and a good ground at the bulb socket and if they are good then i would try another bulb.

Please check your bulb cables and relay. Use your the volt meter to check the power / voltage output.

There are two headlight fuses (left and right) located in the engine bay. Check the headlight bulbs first. The headlight bulbs will go out long before the fuses.

He's asking about the (Transmission) SHIFTER light bulb IN THE CAR you ****!! Not the headlight! Can't stupid people READ!!??? Quote: "Shifter light bulb burned."

The contacts in the headlight relay have probably burned. Try swapping the relay with an adjacent one to see if that fixes the problem

Power flows from the battery to the main fuse. Then it flows to the control coil and contact side of the headlight relay. When you turn on the headlights, the headlight switch provides ground to the control coil in the headlight relay and that operates the contacts. The contacts allow power to flow to the right and left hand headlight fuses. Power flows to the headlights. The headlight switch is what provides ground to the high and low beams on the headlights.

To diagnose, remove the headlight relay. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage on terminals 3 & 4 in the socket with the key in the RUN position. Then turn on the low beams. Test for good ground on terminal 1 in the socket. If you're not getting ground, then you've got a problem with either a bad headlight combo switch or a bad ground. If you get good ground on terminal 1, reinstall the relay, turn on the low beams and test for power in the headlight sockets. If you get battery voltage, that confirms you've got good fuses and wiring up to that point. Next, check for good low beam ground on the red/green wire in the bulb socket. If you're not getting good ground, it's either a bad combo switch or bad ground from the combo switch. Then turn on the high beams and check for good ground on the red/yellow wire in the bulb sockets.

It wouldn't hurt to clean the ID ground on the left side of the instrument panel, but based on everything you've said so far, this sounds like a bad combo switch

take out the 2 phillips screws that hold in the cluster.there are some bulbs in the back of it,look and see that they are all ok.
the tail lights operate on a separate circuit,but the headlight switch could be bad, as it operates both of those sets of lights in the park and lights on settings.check all the fuses and relays in the fuse box under the hood and lower left kick panel

The car is equipped with Daytime running lights so it will always be on...to turn it off you must go in the hood and on the right side next to the engine air filter and fuse box, there is two smaller fuze boxes and the first one going from down to up direction labels DRL left and DRL right which are two fuses 10A or so take them off and they will not come on!
