WHERE DOES THE WATER GO WHEN FILLING INTO RADIATOR AND THERES NO LEAK BUT THERES ALOT OF STEAM BEING EVAPORATED

one normally fills the overflow tank not the rad and not with water, but with coolant. if filling the tank or rad - you must wait until the temperature has cooled down so that the coolant does not steam-off. If adding coolant and it is taking a lot -- that means what was in it has boiled off or leaked out. The coolant goes into the rad as well as into the engine block coolant galleries and water pump.

1999 MERCURY VILLAGER BOGS WHEN GOING UP HILL WHEN ONLY 1/8TH TANK OF GAS FILLE IT UP AND THEN STILL BOGGED FOR ABOUT A MILE THEN QUIT BOGGING WHAT CAUSED THIS

when a tank is empty there is no fuel for the pump and the system runs low on fuel pressure Going up hill the fuel runs away from the pick up line and the pump sucks air
After filling it takes a while to empty the air out of the system to allow full pressure again. It is an extremely costly practice to run so low on fuel as it may lead to a pump replacement

My villager is not putting out heat and it is over

You have classic air trapped in the cooloing system. Go to a shop that has evac/fill equipment that will flush and fill your cooling system for $75.

Tell them you want the air completely out.

go to our site and read files on this topic. The problem is that the radiator cap is lower than the coolant chamber is the engine cylinder head.. If you could get van at 45 degree angle uphill and loosen radiator cap, you might be able to burp the system.

Where is a Diagram of thermostat for 1995 mercury villager?

thermostat is on passenger side. Be very careful with reinstalling it or you will break mounting flange. Also, you will likely trap air in the system when you are done. Either burp it following directions on our site, or have a shop with evac/fill equipment drain and fill it for you. This will remove trapped air. $60.

Same queston re mercury villager and heat stopping at red light

you have air trapped in your cooling system. you need to burp the air or go to a shop that has evacuate & fill equipment to **** all the air out. It is hard to do.

Should cost about $60 to have someone flush & fill. Call around ask about evac & fill equipment.

I have a 2001 mercury villager that overheats. I replaced the fan assembly and the thermostat. The radiator is fine. What else could be causing the van to overheat?

You have air trapped in the system. If you have cold air, warm air, cold air from your heater, then it's air entrapment. Very common these days. Go to a shop that uses vacuum method to refill cooling system & that will purge air.
Otherwise, you can try. Park uphill. cold engine - fill radiator to top with 50/50 mix of antifreeze. leave cap on but loose. fill reservior to 3/4 full. Turn heater to hot to allow coolant to flow through heater core. start engine, run at 1500 rpms until thermostat opens and upper hose is hot. tighten cap and let it cool down. after cool check level of reservoir. fill to top line on reservoir. it should **** coolant back into radiator as it cools down.
repeat if still an issue.

go to yahoo group for villager quest & join owner group for much more help. 2500 members.
