Check you oil level , then make sure the proper weight was installed.
Its also possible a faulty oil filter was installed.
Being it started after the oil change , these would be the logical
things to check first.

I have a 1999 Crown Victoria it mAKES A tapping

If it is a clear metal tap,not a knock and usually is a little worse when first starting the engine and there is no miss to the engine..it most likely is a sticking or dirty hydraulic lifter..you can ask your local auto supply for a good oil additive that helps clean dirty lifters. Also after using that product for a while I suggest an oil change maybe a little lighter oil and include another additive treatment along with the oil change...this should clean and free them up..good luck..

How do you repair lifter

you can try doing an oil system flush and oil change as sometimes a little dirt may cause a lifter problem. if this doesn`t help then checking the oil pressure may show if you have low oil pressure. if this is good then you may just have a worn lifter. replace all lifters and inspect the cam lobes for wear, as you don`t say how many miles are on the motor.

01 crown vic p71 do i need a new oil pump .. Gauge jumps up and down. Motor has vibration

Tough to say. The lifter making the noise could be allowing oil pressure to escape. Or it may be dry for oil because oil is not getting to it.
You may have to take the lifters out to see if it is a lifter problem or lack of oil.

1993 iSUZU TROOPER HYDROLIC LIFTER NOISE GETTING LOUDER SHOULD I BRING IT IN FOR REPAIR? CAN THIS NOISE BE RELIEVED BY AN OIL ADDITIVE?

no what you do is to add a half litre of diesel to the oil and 3 good squirts of fairy liquid ,got to be fairy and no cheap one.then run vehicle around for a day or so and the noise will stop ,Then change oil and filter and from then on change oil every 5000miles and a oil filter every third oil change ,use a diesel/petrol oil the cheapest you can buy and the diesel /petrol oil will have detergent in it which will keep the inside of the engine clean and prevent clag from forming which is what is causing your hydraulic tappet stick thus making a noise .

Noise motor on 03 santa fe a guy told me it sound like the lifters but i want to be for sure

Hi if your getting a tapping noise on the top of the engine then yes it's the lifters making the the noise but before changing the lifters check that oil pressure is where it's suppose to be and that the oil is circulating and you have a good amount of pressure getting to the lifters if that's ok then replace lifters good luck

My jeep taps a bit when cod but once warm is fine any solutions ??

Listening to you spell wrong and guess the theres a lifter tap when the engine warms up it goes away runs good all the time? Sure alot of 4.0 and some 5.2 V8 do this. Missed a few oil changes did we? Heres what happened and something that might make it go away (maybe) ( It'll be back later) The lifters have accumulated some varnish and as the engine warms the clearnce relaxes and the lifter tighten s the vavle train and the noise stopps. Most engines stop in the same place in their firing order every time you shut them off. So a certain valve is being held open by the lifter and the cam as the car sits parked. The oil slowly leakes down out of the lifter. then you start up the oil presure comes up slowly in the lifter galley and finally the lifter fille=s back up the lash is closed and it stopps clicking. Change the oil and add a can of fuel injector cleaner as the lifter will pump up quicker if it were clean you may have to change the oil very week for awile as your washing out the dirt that would have been chnges if the oil was changed enought. Cheap oil is good if you plan to change it more than once

Ticking noise in engine

It sounds like the lifters are still sticking. Change your oil/filter then after 500 miles change it again. Since motor oil has a mild detergents, a couple of changes should hopefully remove any buildup from around the lifters. Do not use "motor flush". Even though your engine is fairly new, it may remove too much buildup and flush it onto your crankshaft bearings. You may try some marvel mystery oil also and I've heard seafoam does a good job, if you can find it. Mine started ticking after using one of the super thick oil additives. I'm still trying to flush that stuff out.
