Sounds like your egr is stuck open causing a large vacuum leak, this in turn causes the engine to run rich and want to die at stops. Look on the intake manifold for the valve. what im not sure of is what type of egr you have. you will either have a vacuum controlled or digital controlled egr. if it is vacuum controlled try tapping on the top of it. This will usually close it. If it is digital... remove the wires to it, reomve and turn it upside down to inspect it. Also I would check the base gasket for the intake and tbi. spray some carb spray around and see if you can find a leak. you will know you found a leak if the rpm rises as you spray the gaskets. Good luck!

I have a 1995 ford mustang 5.0 HO standard transmission. I was driving it o e day and started flooding. Have put all kinds of new parts on it and still can't get it to stop flooding

Depending upon what diagnostic steps you took in determining the source of failure, it sounds like you have not yet randomly hit upon the actual source of the problem. As an initial diagnostic, take the following steps:
  1. ASSUMING THAT YOUR MUSTANG IS FUEL INJECTED AND NOT CARBURETED (you did not specify), verify the fuel pressure to the fuel rail. If the pressure is beyond spec., change the fuel pressure regulator;
  2. Check for proper spark. Sometimes a low spark condition produces the same symptoms as over-rich mixture;
  3. Verify the operation of your oxygen sensors. If they are not operating correctly, they will set the computer to FULL RICH;
  4. Is your ECU operating properly? Have it checked
  5. Verify that you have NO EXHAUST OBSTRUCTION.
  6. Make sure that there are NO OBSTRUCTIONS TO YOUR AIR BREATHER ASSEMBLY, and that your air filter is clean.

Engine flooding

Check the fuel pressure. The pressure regulator may have gone bad and is delivering too much pressure to the fuel rail, thereby flooding the engine.

2006 chev colorado Oxygen sensor burns out

Interesting.
Are you getting a trouble code for the sensor ?
Under normal conditions the tip inside the exhaust will look burned from the high heat of the exhaust gas, but nothing should be melting.
A fuel injection system can not vapor lock, but a leaking injector can cause the exhaust to be too rich. Same thing if the air filter is clogged up.

I am smelling fuel and it burns alot of gas.

Check for leaks, service engine lights since CTS (Coolant temp sensor) can cause the vehicle to run rich. Keep in mind that there is a lot of Ethenol in our gas that is lowing the gas mileage on our vehicles.The canister purge tank can cause gas smell if it isn't working right, but the computer should give you a service engine light on any of these.

1995 nissan pulsar wont run properly

What your smelling fuel for is the fact that once you start it your flooding the **** out of it.. your fuel relese valve needs to be closed up a bit, your intake for fuel is to high basically, this can and will happen due to racing, vibration, or just over time. Its one of those problems that occurs now and then, it is a simple fix!!
