Hay am having problem on my 144 460 engine idling is picking up an dropping, the truck has no power and i did fitted new injectors

Scania 144 460
sure is a big motor
fuel pump pressure to injector and timing important
uneven cylinder compression pressures may be a cause
lack of power
if it has a turbo would suspect internal crack in turbo index-omyln5yzcl4rshihar4so15z-3-0.jpg

Turbo diesel stops when engine is warm

I would go with the injector pump first, if it's older than 10-15 years, and then the fuel pump would be my next guess. Check first to see if the fuel pump is actually pumping fuel before doing either.

How do I remove and check the fuse box on a 1992 bentley turbo r? the fuel pump fuse is heating up and melting. I need to find where the trouble is.

If the fuse is becoming quite hot, the problem likely lives in the pump motor itself. Replace the fuel and relay together to avoid any further issues. Fuel pressure is critical on these models, so please heed to caution when buying one aftermarket.

I want to add TURBO to my 1996 Golf III Diesel, and need to know what to change/add. Thanks.

well i have never done it myself. but its going to be alot of hassle.
its not the same as sticking a turbo on a petrol

1 you need a manifold which will suit it
2 for best results you need an exhaust to match
3 you will need to replace the fuel pump. to match the size of your engine (preffrably take the turbo and the fuelpump from the turbo version.
4just as well stick a new timing belt on while the fuel pump is off
then you need to tap into the oil as turbos need a constant oil feed. and that might require drilling and tapping into the block.

this is only an educated guess but im sure its pretty standard in fitting a turbo to a non turbo viehical.

1996 turbo deisel fuel and oil leak.

The fuel pump is located under the turbo on that truck. It is most likley washing sediment/old fluids out of the vally of toyr engine. It is also driven by a push rod that ths cam drives, so the lower pump o-ring may be leaking too. You can change the fuel pump without pulling the turbo. Good Luck

(TOYOTA SURF 1990 TURBO DIESEL) No diesel coming out of fuel pump

If it has glow plugs or an intake heater you will need to disable the circuit. Then you can use a small amount of ether to spray into the air cleaner.!!! If you spray too much and/or Dont disable the circuits you can damage the motor!!! When you spray the ether, if the engine starts and stalls then its not getting fuel. This could be related to the fuel pump, injection pump, the fuel system loosing its prime(fuel line leak), fuel shut-off valve or solenoid. If it doesn't start then it could be related to your timing, valves or maybe compression.

Fuel pump relay

The fuel pump relay in located near the air filter on the drive side of the car there's two relays there screwed into the fender. To make sure its the right one have someone turn the ignition on but dont start it. and see if you hear a click or feel a click thats the one you wanna pull the other one is for the AC. I hope this help's ya if your car is running sluggish, I have replaced the Fuel Regulator No fix, Replaced the fuel filter no fix, it turned out it was the fuel pump. Running 53 Psi when the motor is cold, when the motor is hot the fuel pump shuts off and gives 10psi and then the car dies.
