Hi, my 99 suburban starts then dies after 2 seconds. It runs when gas is added to the intake for as long as I pour it in. The fuel pump is new, and works fine. Pressure is good. the pump stays running...

"the pressure is good" doenst tell anything, if it isnt at least 60psi, its not enough to open the injectors. Its time to have a shop look at it, the rich o2 sensors may be because gas is poured in. Scan data needs to be checked while engine is off, cranking and running to diagnose the problem.

I have a 94 buick park avenue ultra for 3 yrs. and it started stalling out. Going on line, some people replaced most sensors and gas filter. My problem was vacuum lines that were shot and one, going yo the fuel pressure regulator wasn't connected, which was the main problem.

Location and difficulty of replacing crank sensor on 92 park avenue? auto stalls out, farts, back fires? replaced water pump hose connecter that screws into block from top of water pump outlet? took out...

This could be one of many issues (or more than one!). When you say runs for 5 minutes, does it just stall? overheats? Probably not the crank sensor since when they go they go and engine will not run. If you can get it to Autozone or borow a diagnostic tool may be able to find an avenue to persue. My first thought is fuel from what you describe, fuel filter, fuel pump, injectors.

I have a 1992 park avenue that cranks repeatedly but will not start it tries hard but just won't start just cranks like its not getting fuel just before this though i tried to drive it and when i shifted...

try telling it to try harder Naw it is the fuel filter or the fuel pump there is a schrader valve on the intake manifold where you can check the fuel pressure should read 30 psi with key on engine off for two seconds then it should hold that pressure for 15 seconds, if it does not then that indicates the fuel pump check valve is bad or the fuel pump fuel sock is turned to rubber and needs to be replaced. when doing this job it's not that hard but be sure to disconnect the battery and drop the fuel tank (two bolts 15MM) then drop the tank down it does not have to come all the way out and pull the pump and sock out as a unit, disconnect the wires each one is hooked so you don't connect them up wrong. then reinstall fuel sock and fuel pump then replace the fuel filter this job takes a couple of hours to do and will save you a lot of money. In 1992 they started putting eathnol in the gas and that eats the rubber fuel sock in the tank causing it to collapse and not get enough fuel. This is very common for cars for that vintage not till 1995 did they figure it out and added a fix to the newer cars. However check you spark plugs to be sure they are not wore out, however from my experience it will be the fuel pump, changing it will give you peace of mind knowing it's done and the car will be dependable from there on out, I would change the plugs and wires if you can afford it as this will give you better fuel mileage. the pump sock and fuel filter will cost about $60.00 and good plugs and wires will cost another $60.00 also clean the throttle plate with a tooth brush and some GM top end cleaner, then pour a can of Lucas gas treatment in the fuel tank and fill it up with mid grade gas, you will find this will boost engine power and give you better fuel mileage.
