Some times my car stalls. when i push on the gas it does not want to go and some time it cuts off. i change the spark plug and the fuel filter and the wire and it work fine for 2 days and not its doing the same thing.
My 92 lesabre was randomly stalling as I was driving down the road. It turned out to be a computer chip that controls timing. Then it was having issues that also turned out to be a gas problem. Octane booster helped and I've been using higher octane gas. No problems. My 92 lesabre was randomly stalling as I was driving down the road. It turned out to be a computer chip that controls timing. It could be a timing issue (misfire) but it absolutely could also be either air or fuel filter. If it's starving for fuel, it's the fuel filter. If it's starving for air (too rich), it would also stall out and that could be the air filter. Basically, you need 4 things to make an engine work: compression, air, fuel, and spark.
It could need plugs, or something else. Plugs are designed to last 100,000 miles but no guarantee. Often times stalling is caused by a dirty throttle body or a faulty idle air control valve. I would have a mechanic check the valve and also see if there are any trouble codes stored in the computer.
Sounds like fuel pump may be going out. Check fuel pressure to see if it is within specifications and steady pressure. Next time car stalls, lightly bang on the fuel tank with a rubber mallet or screwdriver handle about 10 times, then try to restart the car. If fuel pump is going out, this helps "free it up" and the car will start. It will only last a short while though and stall again.
I have a 1997 626 2.0L 5speed when im driven it like rev limits cuts out around 3500-4000rpm, and when i rev it up and past 4000rpm it stalls, anyone have a idea whats wrong??? thanks i just replaced the crank sensor and egr and still. good power put cuts out
Your battery has nothing to do with this. It sounds like you haven't had anything done in over a year. You most likely need a tune-up, which is normal wear and tear, my guess is the spark plugs and fuel filter need to be changed.
