Question about 1989 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera
Ok... Based on what your saying it sounds like you have a fuel problem. Your symptom is not common for an electrical problem. The pump sounds like it is having a hard time building and holding fuel pressure. (note this could also just be a restricted fuel filter). If it were me I would check the fuel pressure and see if it is to spec. If you dont have a guage try changing the fuel filter. If the problem is still present then get a guage on it and check the pressure of the pump. Good luck!
