Toyota tazz starting to use water no water leaks about 1 litre in about 2 to 3 weeeks

replace the thermostat as it is essential for correct operation. Have a pressure test done on the coolant system and check for leaks in the radiator --rear and sides of the engine and in the cabin around the heater core.. Check radiator cap as it may not be operation correctly and allowing the water to be drawn back into the radiator on cooling down. Check the hose from the reservoir back to the radiator cap as if it is cracked or broken the water will not be drawn back to replace what was pushed out when hot. Have a compression test done to check for gasket and head cracks.

My car started over heating shortly after I had to accelerate kind of hard to avoid getting hit the fluid levels are good and it's not leaking and there was a sizzling noise coming from around the motor ...

It could be a radiator cap, or you could have the wrong ratio of water to coolant. You should have at least 50% of the radiators capacity filled with coolant. I wouldn't go more than 70% coolant/30% water. You can buy it already premixed so all you have to do is pour it. Another solution is a radiator cap. Pressurizing the water/coolant in the radiator brings up the boiling point several degrees, depending on how much pressure it is under. I would suggest at least a 13-18 lbs cap on your radiator.

The red light in the car is coming on. It looks like a radiator cap. Can you tell me if I need to replace the radiator cap?

Is your car over heating. Have you checked to see if you need water. I just had a similar problem. I had water but my car was over heating. I figured out it was the thermostat which I bought for around $10.

How do I flush the radiator

You can purchase a flushing kit from Prestone, you'll have to install a tee in one of the heater hoses to connect a garden hose to it. Pour some radiator flush in and run the car for a bit. Then shut off the car and let it cool down. Connect the garden hose to the tee and remove the radiator cap and turn on the hose, leave the water run until clear water is coming from the radiator. Turn off and disconnect it from the tee and replace the cap. Drain as much water from the radiator and refill the radiator and overflow bottle. Many oil change places can do it also. The have a machine to do it. Usually around $40-50.
