Does it start back up? If so do this, buy a can of engine throttle body cleaner (made by CRC products) and clean the throttle bore and blade, also clean the idle speed control air bypass valve mounted to the throttle body.

Turns over alot touch gas and it will start. should i change the plugs and coil packs.

try cleaning the throttle body, sounds like the passage to the idle control unit is getting restricted that is why you need to touch the throttle, you are letting a little air into the engine that is the job of the idle control unit.......HAVE FUN

Where is the throttle body on a nissan sentra 2004 1.8s base model

If you look at your air filter box and follow up to the left(looking from the front of the vehicle),and see where your rubber air intake tube clamps to the aluminum, right after that clamp on the back side of the air intake manufold is a little black box bolted the begining of the aluminum tube(If you follow the wires from the plug's and injector's,there all wrapped up in plastic covering and electrical tape they will lead around to the back of the engine block and to you electonic throttle body. You can't miss it.

2005 sentra idling high (1500rpms)

pull the IAC out and make sure that there is nothing blocking it from the throttle body from cleaning it. while you have it out go ahead and clean the IAC. the only way that I know to check it is pull it out and leave it plugged up to the connector turn the car on but dont start and see if the probe moves in or out.
