It won't start or won't turn over. If it turns over and not start. Is the security light staying on? Check engine light staying on? If it won't turn over, check the starter/crank fuse.
Question is kind of vague. I think your saying your battery light is staying on and your battery is not charged.I would have to say your alternator is not working.
The battery light doesn't mean that the battery is defective, it means that the battery charging system is not putting out enough voltage to keep the battery charged up, this is all explained in the owner's manual.
Either bad alternator (should be under warranty) or bad battery. Alternator and battery should be checked (free service at most national chain parts stores) for dead cells or the water level may be low. I hope this helps you out.
chec all wiring for good contact--a good alternator can have a bad voltage regulator and can also draw charge out of a battery overnite--maxifuses in engine area may be faulty
