96 Monte carlo z34 won't crank over unless I jump

Sounds like a problem with the key switch, probably the security system. You may only have power to the fuel pump when the engine is cranking.
Is the security light on or flashing ?

Service engine light is on a 96 chevy monte carlo

Most major auto parts stores scan codes or will let you use a scanner in their parking lot free of charge. Stop by a parts store, scan the code number and post it back here for additional help.
