Can a motor mount going bad have anything to do with rough shifting?

Check transmission fluid. Torque converter needs ALOT of fluid to work .

Maybe a miss fire going on...can also b motor/tranny mount go in bad...in my car I notice if I put it in neutral at a light the vibration goes away when its a mount...

You have to repair the motor & trans mounts or
anything else-- before diagnosing the trans issues

Not very likely but your best bet would be to start with a 100k Full Transmission Service (a.k.a. Trans Filter and Machine Fluid exchange) Prices vary on your area, the national average is around $130 which is not bad at all, but in some areas it could be $200 + so be careful and shop around, but remember if you go to like a Sears Auto Center or a Walmart, you may have a loss in quality than from going to a local shop! It sounds like you have some broken motor mounts under the hood and one of the main ones that break on those models is the torque strut. When my torque strut was bad in my car the car would jolt when I shifted the gears and it would shimmy when it was idling. I would get your motor mounts checked to see if thats the issue and if its not it may be a motor issue such as a misfire which can couse the motor to backfire and idle rough when its misfiring. Check your motor mount and make sure you let your car warm up b/c mine does that and if i let it warm up it works and when i replaced the motor mount it worked much better Does it shift rough???

two things idle air control valve could be bad or you could have a broke motor mount.mine had a broke motor mount.

REPLACE MOTOR MOUNT IF YOU ALREADY HAVEN'T , HAVE HIM CK THE TRANS MOUNTS AS WELL AND TO INSECT THE HARMONIC BA-LANCER TO SEE IF IT HAS SHIFTED OR IS MISALIGNED
