Fuel injectors. some are ohming at near 15ohms while two others are at 250 ohms ???

DTC P0202:Fuel Injector #2 Control Circuit .You could have an open in the wiring or in the fuel injector coil windings ! Check for voltage at the pink wire . The other wire comes from the PCM , a transistor inside the pcm turns the injector on an off by grounding the circuit . You can test this by hooking up a test light to battery positive an the other pointy end touch to a T pin probed into that terminal at the PCM . With engine cranking the test light should flash . You should also ohm check injector coil ! the resistance of each fuel injector should be 11-14 ohms.

2002. Why won't it start?


Did you check voltage and ground for the other injectors to see what your losing, voltage or ground? Do an ohms test on all fuel injectors, see if reading is close to the same? I'm just wondering if you have a faulty fuel injector? The ohms reading should be close to the same for all fuel injectors. #4 may have a problem? Did you try disconnecting #4 injector for a second, to see if others would start working?
Can you check for applicable trouble codes? To check codes, yourself, at the least, you need an obd2 code reader.
Are you missing anything else, engine cranking you have good spark at all the spark plugs? You used a gage and you have proper fuel pressure, engine cranking?

p07 codes, are transmission.
p0204 is mostly....

the codes are just tests that fail.
and a tech, sees the words in the FSM that tell him what tests need to be done by humans to find true cause.

first id look for bad injector 4 wires.
then pull connector and see if OHMS (resistances) of coil pins'
is wrong (try other injector and compare them)
0 ohms shorted
infinity is open oil
if resistance is not near others, its burned up. damaged.
keep in mind coils can be partial shorts. do to the windings damaged. like all coils can do, or motors.

How many ohms should the fuel injector check?


TBI 8v engine is 1 ohm
MPI 16v has 4, injectors, and all read the same 10 ohms.
there are lots of test.
ohms
presssure
flow
and leak down test.
and a balance test

How do I check my fuel injectors to make sure they are good on a 1987 z28


one wire has battery voltage when the key is on and the other wire at the injector is ground circuit which is controlled by the ECM and pulses as the ECM grounds the circuit. you can test the ohms of the injector but this won`t show a bad injector as resistance only needs 1 strand of wire that is good to give a reading. the ohms reading should be about 25-30 ohms I think.

How do you know if the fuel injector is bad


Check the resistance across the injector terminals with an ohm meter. The resistance should be pretty low, a few ohms, but all manufacturers have their own specifications. Check what the other injectors read for ohms, then compare that with your suspect injector-if way out of range of the others, it is probably bad.
If you put your finger on the injector connector with engine running, you should or might be le to feel it pulse. If you can feel or hear the pulsing, it is probably good, barring any mechanical damage to it. When it pulses, because the computer momentarily grounds that injector's circuit, the injector's pintle on the bottom is raised, allowing fuel under pressure to be sprayed out.

Engine rotate but will not start


It is your lucky day! First can you determin if your battery is at least 12.5 volts on a voltage meter? Second remove valve cover protector (plastic part). Underneath is your injectors and coils for your sparkplugs. Injectors is easier to check quickly, remove wire clip type plug from your leftside first(as you Look at motor) with ohm meter(voltageMeter) in ohm postion check with ground pin and voltage pin the injectors pins. The combination of pin checks should not read Zero.You can check the rest the same way! No more than 15ohms is okay less than 5 can be faulity. First step checking for fuel! Third you need two people,remove sparkplug from coil and check one for excessive carbon(black) or wetness.Sparkplug and coil can be checked by not reinstalling in place but lay on top away from direct metal or fuel. One needs to crank motor over one time the other determins that you have spark. Each one can be checked this way.Further diag.contact me! Good luck

No fuel geting tothe engine but fuel pump working


the first thing to check is the fuel filter. but i will assume you have replaced it already and you have opened a line at the fuel rail and got fuel their. you put some gas in the intake and it started then died. that is why you know you are not getting fuel to the engine . you now need to measure the injector resistance. remove the connectors from all the injectors then with a ohm meter set to 2k ohms test the two pins on each injector all 8 of them they should be with in 1.0 ohm of each other. if you find one with low reading it is shorted and will need to be replaced.

Mechanical failure


possible 1 or more fuel injectors failing...best thing to do is actually ohm injector windings and look for 22 ohms(+ or -) of resistance.These fail sometimes as a result of fuel quality especially pertaining to alcohol content in fuel ...anything near or past 10% present in fuel can actuall degrogate the electrical windings inside the injector and causing them not to function ,therefore not providing fuel to its cylinder hence cylinder mis fire missing and extreme lack of power...good luck

not unusual to loose an injector , have you put an ohm meter on the injector while it is unplugged , believe you should see 11 - 13 ohms , do you have a noid light tester ? compare ohms to a good injector .
