Question about 1986 Ford Econoline

1 Answer

I have a 1986 Ford Econoline 150 Van and my drivers door is sagging. I was told I needed a new top and bottom hinge. Ford doesn't make them anymore. I searched all over the internet to for them or even a pin replacement set to no avail. I don't want to get them out of a junk yard they could be just as bad. Any ideas

Door sag

Hello, you need to replace the hinge pins and bushings. Just take a hammer and knock the hinge pins out and put the new pins with bushings in the hole and tap it into place. Some vehicles have a locking ring on the bottom of the hinge pin just knock it off with your hammer and a screwdriver. They don't have to be replaced but, if you want the dealer sells those too. Good luck and any questions please ask.
