The stereo is in lock mode because it thinks it was stolen. Usually there is a combination of button presses to unlock. You can get directions from the dealer or most car audio shops, as this is a common problem when adding audio components.

yes if you disconnect the battery to enycar it will reset the radio but car radios go into anti theft mode and you have to get a code to unlock it

Cluster not working


you have taken the battery off wrong it negative off the battery first, then the positive wire. taking off live wire first then butting it back on will blow a number of things even the ecu/ abs units.

Radio was in safe mode for a while then one day didn't turn on. I read if you took out the fuse for 15 secs and put it back in it would solve the problem. But I had no luck


is there not an in line fuse further up the harness if not disconect the battery and let the car power down then reconect if still nothing try the radio live directley to battery using a long pice of wire if still no power the stereo goosed hope this helps ivan

The speedometer has quit working. is pegged at 100 MPH.


Disconect your battery cables and rub them together or step on the brake pedal for a couple of minutes to drain all residual voltage from the computers. Leave disconected for about 10-15 minutes reconect the battery and see if the speedo has normal operation, if not you need a new instrument cluster

disconect your positive battery cable and touch the CABLE to the negitve battery cable and post for about ten seconds then let it sit for 5 to ten minutes then reconect it and start your truck. this will reset your computer and your sucerity. hope this takes care of it for ya>>>

1998 S70 raido is off - code put in wrong how do I turn it back on now that I have the correct code?


Easy way is to disconect your battery, then reconect after ten mins, this wil then force the radio to ask for the code again, re enter the corect code and bobs your uncle!

No power to radio


disconnect the battery cable for about 3mlns. while the cables are disconected clean the battery terminal,and the cable ends,water & baking soda.reconect the terminal's & it should be good to go!
