You didn't specify front or rear so here goes. with ignition key off..... front turn/marker light, remove the screw cover in the lens assembly. remove the screw. Pull the lens assembly out forward. Change bulb and reverse process. If it is the side marker on the front quarter panel it is a little more envolved but you shouldnt have a problem doing it. I can walk you through it .let me know how it goes.

Need toknow how to gain acces to change the front left turn signal bulb on my 2004 VW Convertible.

If your Beetle is a "Turbo S", the whole front clip (bumper facia) has to come off.

For all other Beetle models:
Remove the screw cap at the rear of the front turn/marker lense.
Remove the screw
Pull the lamp assembly forward
Disconnect the electrical connector
Twist the lamp socket to remove it from the lamp assembly
Remove the bulb
Reverse procedure to install

2003 vw beetle right rear lights keep burning out primarilly the

Sometimes quality of the bulbs are suspect in these cases. Check all connections at the assembly for any corrosion or looseness. I believe these also had a problem with the brakelight switch just above the brake pedal. My guess would be the connection at the brake light assembly or the socket where the bulbs go in.

How to replace rear turn signal bulbs?

Remove trim panel inside trunk. A plastic nut retains tail light assembly in body. Remove the bolt, slide whole tail light from body, disconnect the wires, twist bulb socket to access bulbs.
