Question about Mazda Protege
Disconnect the negative battery cable. This unplug the wire harness and then remove the cable that goes from altenator to the battery. Then remove the two bolts holding on the altenator.
When you are replacing the altenator, you can pry it in place to put the bolts back in or use tensioner pulley which moves to allow slack in the belt to place back on the altenator.
