Question about 1999 Dodge Intrepid

My '99 Intrepid has a 0.79 Amp draw when the car is shut off. Where do I start to find the problem?

The best and quickest way I have found is to remove each fuse one at a time until that amp drops. Once it drops you know what components to look at. Some fuses control multiple things but it quicker for me this way.

99 dodge intrepid hard to start kills battery


Have the starter tested.Probably drawing to much amperage.If you can get it going enough to get it to Auto Zone or O`riellys they will check it at no charge.Hope this helps.Good luck.

looks like your intrepid has what is know as a driveability problem
1. electric fuel pump is failing
2. injectors are mis-firing due to clogs: 1 or more has failed
3. someone has been naughty and dumped something in your fuel tank while you slept

Alarm drains battery when on or off want to disconnct altogether


If you can see the actual alarm module you should be able to trace the wires to a few fuses. You'll be looking for the smaller red or yellow wire. There hould be a larger one also, probably the one you cut before. Try taking the fuse out of the holder on the smaller wire. If the car won't crank then, you probably have a ignition shut off relay, which can be a little more difficult to remove. Let me know if this helps :)
