What model? Normally it is deep under the dashboard on the side of the blower unit.

Ac/heater doesn't turn off on a 2004 Pontiac grand prix

Usually a break down in the Blower Motor "resistor" the resistor is bad, not the blower motor...you may need to unplug the blower motor until you find and install the resistor...your parts store can confirm the right part, and location. Hope this helps.

Hey Tbird, here's a link to the blower motor, right by the blower motor is the blower motor resistor, you might want to check this first,if they go out then blower motor won't work, you can straight wire blower to see if works,if it doesn't then try resister, here's what it looks like.

Blower fan for heater only works on speed 4 (high speed)

Check the resistor. If it looks heat damaged, replace or test with ohmmeter. Resistor is under dash at location indicated in picture below. You may have to remove part of the dash to see it. Also recommend you see my tip at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r6234839-doesn_t_heater_or_air_conditioner_blow . These are generic instructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me.

Where is the blower resister on a 2004 crown victoria

very unusual location. usually inside the car in the plenum case by passenger floor, but here it is:

Blower Motor Switch Resistor
The heater blower motor switch resistor has the following features:
  • The assembly is located in the engine compartment on the evaporator housing toward the center of the vehicle.
  • Three resistor elements are mounted on the resistor board to provide four blower motor speeds.
  • Depending on the heater blower motor switch position, series resistance is added or bypassed in the A/C blower motor circuit to decrease or increase A/C blower motor speed.
  • A device to prevent overheating (thermal limiter) will open the resistor coil when the temperature reaches 121°C (250°F) interrupting the blower motor operation in all speeds except HI.
  • The thermal limiter cannot be reset and is not serviceable.

Heater only works on 3 and 4 setting

Your heater motor speed selector only working on a couple levels is caused by a faulting blower motor resistor. This part is located on the evaporator case next to the blower motor itself. Two bolts remove the resistor and an electrical pigtail finishes it off.The location of this is underneath the dash on the pass front side.Happy Holidays!!
