Wheel studs lost on 2004 Pontiac Sunfire while driving

not sure what your asking, but they usually come off if the threads on the stud are too worn or the wheel nut is worn or damaged. they can be replaced both studs and nuts. this is why its recommended to use a torque wrench to tighten wheel nuts and not an impact gun.

Replacing wheel studs

The wheel studs are a press fit in the hub. You have to drive the old stud out with a hammer and punch. Sometimes if there is not enough clearance for the stud to be removed the hub has to be removed from the vehicle. You will need to drive the new stud in being careful not to damage the threads. Sometimes it is helpful to use a block of steel with a hole in it and use the nut to help pull the stud in. Keep drawing the nut while driving in stud with a hammer. After you are done and mount the wheel be sure to check the tightness of the wheel nuts a couple of times in the next 200 miles. Please rate my answer so I am awarded points for it.

How do I replace broken wheel studs on the Front Right wheel hub?

The studs will plainly hammer out. Hit the threaded part till it will wobble. A hole on the back side of the hub will be there to pull the broken stud out. Replace it with a new one and use the lug nut to tighten in in. Stacking washers will help very much doing this process. If none are available have the wheel installed to get the studs in tight

How to replace lug nut studs 2002 chevrolet cavalier

take a hammer and a punch and pound it in, it will pop out the back of the hub assembly, then you get your new bolt, slide it through the back, same way the old one came out, throw a few washers on it and use the lug nut to draw it out till it catches, take the lug nut and washers back off, put the tire back on and use a little extra torque on that stud to insure it is all the way in place.

Good Luck!!
