98 Pontiac Grand Prix load front end roaring?

Defective fan clutch, if it has one. With a cold engine only, try spinning the fan blade by hand. If it does not turn freely, the fan clutch is defective. Warning: When the engine is hot, the fan can turn on by itself with the car not running and keys are NOT in the ignition.

I have a 2002 ponitac grand prix it pull fine when it is cool, but when it reaches operating temperture it stop pulling

The engine and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM and TCM (Power Train Control Module, Transmission Control Module). When a problem like this or other drive-ability related problems occurs the computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

2002 Ponitac Grand Am, loud knocking noise in the front drivers side area, when decellerating. We bought the Grand Am brand new, and ithas never gives us any major problems, minor things like the automatic...

Not a wheel bearing - probably not a CV joint. Could be something inside the transaxle. Is it possible something came loose in the caliper-rotor area ?

How often to change transmission fluid in a 2004 ponitac grand am

Never to maybe once for the life of the car. Some of the older cars were drained by removing a magnetic plug in the transmission pan and often the service centers conned the owner into letting them drop the pan and change the filters, which invariably caused problems with leakage due to pinched seals, which caused problems with the transmission getting to hot for lack of fluid. "If it ain't broke don't fix it." Just add fluid as needed if ever.

Roaring is heard from front end when going speed

I have a 98 Ponitac Grand Prix GT. Soon as you start going it starts roaring. Gets loader the faster you go till 70 mph. When I am turning to the right a little while going 60 mph the sounds quiets down. Only to the right. I have replaced both wheel bearings, got brand new tires, new brakes. Didnt stop the roaring. Would it be cv axles, rack & pinion, transmission, etc?

Bad tranny. how much does it cost?

i just found the cheapest used transmission like ever hahha $400 with free shipping i will give you the link to it. but it is front wheel drive and those are very very difficult to replace its about 8 hours of labor time at a shop so your looking over 5-600 dollars on top of the transmission plus removal and gaskets and fluid so your looking at least $1200 total with a cheap transmission. transmissions range from 400-1300 dollars. I hope this helped

I have a 2003 grand Am and there is a fluid leak around the spot where the right front wheel axle meets the transmission ( the transaxle?). Also, when the car is cold, sometimes I hear a clunking noise...

This sounds like two seperate issues to me.
You need a output shaft seal on the transmission and both lower control arm bushings replaced.
Both are very common.
