Question about 2005 Chrysler Town & Country

2005 Town & Country: When I first start driving in the morning sometimes it sounds like water running in the engine. Other times it is just normal. I checked the water and the level in the radiator is fine. Could it be the radiator cap letting in air

No white smoke. Could it be then the thermostat is sticking and needs to be replaced? if so is it located where the top radiator hose goes into the engine?

Pan are beind the dash maybe you got the drain pipes dirty , mud or garbage. if you hear like a waterfall or stream fully and located a real source of the noise could be the windshield caption water pan doesnt at engine. cause dont you talk about of overheat or antifreeze leaks

Check the wire harnesses around the exhaust cross-over. Many have found degraded wires there, as I did. The cover is held by Velcro. Also change your spark plug wires, especially the rear ones.

New air cleaner needed? That's the simple, cheap fix. Happened to my wife's Volvo once. Thought the EFI was toast and the air cleaner was caked with gunk. Maybe dirty injectors. Try some fuel additive to clean them.

If it is the EFI system, maybe something simple like idle control valve (happened on my newish Subaru), or one of the other sensors: TPS, O2, MAP/MAF, etc. It simply sounds like it is running too lean or rich at idle. Injectors could be bad too. Sounds like you need a different mechanic.

Make sure the oil cap is on the engine properly & oil is'nt spraying out as the engine runs.Check the oil level.Possibly a vaccum hose was knocked off causing air to be sucked in (thats popular) which affect the idle & causes whining.Have you been to this shop before? If you dont find the answer, ask them to help.
