I have an 04 Tiburon GT and there is some water behind the firewall. It used to drain into the car(not good), but now its not draining at all. Don't know where to find the drain plug to unplug drain.

The drain tube is called the AC System "condensate drain" the drain tube exits under the car on the passenger side at the base of the fire wall, it is about 1/2" in diameter.

Where is the AC drain on NEW Jeep Liberty 2010 and newer

the FSM may cover this.
btw, my new jeep has this tube in a funny spot.
unlike any car if owned or restored (many in 50 years.)
the tube on my wrangler is near center of car, oddly
it must drip water or it IS CLOGGED. you are correct.
the water in the air must condense out and drip the the drain pan. then out. if it gets works the passengers feet and floor mats will soak in
condensate (pure water)
best way is to get under car (safely with real jack stands, never use a jack or bricks ever) and look. for the tube. its not easy but its there.
mine is very hard to see, in fact , it dripped in my face before i found it.

my 08 fsm
shows the Evap box rear has drain pipe and foamseal.
lower left bottom corner in photo.
prevention., there is a spray to buy that can kill fungus growth.
pull filters and spray down there.

sorry i dont have real fsm , for 2010
but mine does NOT show the tube path at all.
only the source of the tube.....
good luck.!!

Drain tube location

double posted, but how;'d you know is bad if you dont know where it is.
no problem.
first off what is it , it is called, the condensate drain, all AC have it
home or car. or business, any sizes.
where is it , its below the evaporator core,
in most cars, passenger (USA) is on right. at knee cap forward
is the AC eVap. in that ugly black box.
in the bottom is the condensate tray, and tube.
bingo it does to mother earth under car and makes a nice puddle .
mech, make a fortune tell car owners this, at $100 hr. 20min min.
that will be $5o thankyou... LOL

2006 yukon ac drain tube

That is not anything to be concerned about, it is just water from the AC core condensation, the blower fan air pressure forces it out the tube when you start it. What would be a problem is if the drain was clogged..

Cant find ac drain tube

Pull the carpet down in the passengers foot well and locate the evaporator drain in the housing.

Drill a 1/4 inch hole in the center of the drain tube housing as shown. Clear the drain tube with a wire or suitable tool by inserting it through the hole and into the drain tube.

Insert plug, P/N5255217 into the 1/4 inch hole drilled previously. Verify that the drain is clear by operating the system in the A/C mode and observing that water is draining.

Hope this helps.

How do I unclog the A/C drain so the condensation doesn't drip inside the vehicle?

If you get underneath the car, you will see the drain tube sticking out...or from the firewall.....get a long piece of wire like a coathanger, straighten it out and work it badck and forth up the tube....this will dislodge any obstruction....make sure that it is also still attached at the ac evaporator unti...follw the tube coming into the vehicle and wher it is joined at the unti....make sure it is still firmly in position and hasnt been kicked accidentally off.......also and as an after thought, check the integrity of the rubber line, as I have had 2 instances where rats have eaten the line.....???......i dont think this is the case with your car, but you never know.......

Good luck, and I hope this helps.

Air condition leaks into driver side and rear floor board

The evaporator box drain is stopped up.Under hood, under the firewall, right below the ac lines, you will find the drain.Take a small wire, like balin wire and move it in and out of the drain hole to relieve the water,it will pour out pretty good.If this doesn`t work, try compressed air pressure.I hope this helps.

Where is the ac drain line located on a 1995 Chevy suburban? My AC works until it freezes up about 13 minutes after I turn it on and the AC does not drain out anywhere under (or in :) ) the truck. I can...

You could have too much freon, and did you change the orfice tube, inside the line?It could be clogged. And if the drain is blocked, you never know! it can be found under the truck at the bottom of the firewall on the right side.
