Why wont my radiater hold water and why is my catalatic converter getting red hot?

You may have a small leak in your water pump and it only leaks when you drive. Or god forbid a cracked block and the water is mixing with your oil (see white smoke coming from tailpipe?)

Drive for ten minen at stop ten mine go a gine

I used to have an 89 F 150 with the 4.9 inline 6 back in the day. I remember encountering this problem and it turned out to be an ignition relay that was getting hot after a certain amount of time. It took lots of relays being changed out before we finally were able to pinpoint the problem. Being that I've already encountered it I would definitely look at swapping that relay with the fuel pump relay with the right next to each other and see what it does at that time good luck

How to remedy dtc code P1000

A dtc p1000 isn't a fault code, it basically. means you have to continue to drive you car until all engine monitors finish their test and no faults are happening. When you either disconnect your battery or had someone run a scanner test on it and clear any fault codes, it clears the memory of the p.c.m and monitors that watch certain systems on the car, o2 sensors, misfire, evap system, cat efficiency and others to make sure everything is has to go through 3 drive cycles and not see any fault for the p1000 code to go away..How long dies a drive cycle take? All cars are different, you have to drive above 70 mph for a certain amount of time, have to do no brake slow to stops a few times, maintain 35 for an amount of time and so the dealership each tech has a sheet copied out of shop manual showing what we have to do to complete a drive cycle.sometimes you get it first shot, sometimes it takes a few trips.just 1 wrong and monitors will not pass..just be patient and continue to drive.Take it out on the highway and drive 10-20 miles and see what happens....happy drivi

Rainwater on floor

it may not be rain water ..if its in the right front floor board ..check for leaks in and around the heater core or the hoses that supply the the heater core with water [coolant] ..also keep a close eye on the amount of water [coolant] that is in your radiator..if its coming up low each time you have checked it ..its almost a sure bet that is where your water [coolant ] is being lost..or going [into your floor board] so your thinking it rainwater..

1996 maxima 02 sensor and knock sensors have both been replaced with new parts. car has been driven over 200 miles. how many miles untill system resets to pass emmissions ??

with a hand held diagnostic computer it can be done in about an hour. Drive the car as an owner it could take up to a month. It is the driving condition , not mileage that resets the ECM. You have to drive on the highway at certain speeds for a certain amount of time, then in city driving, stop and go and at certain speeds for so long. The computer guides you threw it. If you only drive city or highway you may never get it to reset.

I have a DPF light that despite following the Suzuki guideliness to drive at certain speed for a certain amount of time, this light has not cleared. I have already had a sensor in the exhaust replaced that...

A diesel particulate filter (DPF) collects particulates in the engine's exhaust, basically unburned fuel. Every so often the DPF will need to regenerate. What this means is when a certain amount of particulates accumulate in the DPF, a small amount of raw fuel is injected into the DPF to increase the temperature. The increased heat burns the particulates resulting in fewer nasty things going into the atmosphere. However, the regeneration process leaves a small amount of ash in the DPF which accumulates over time. You may have to have the DPF professionally cleaned (it's not a DIY thing) in order to restore its performance.

When i drive a certain amount of time my check ingine

Have the car's computer scanned. When the check light comes on, it sets a code that won't clear until it's actively reset. Post that code or codes here and we can help you.

Water building up on ps side floor board in 1996 jgc

Your water problem is caused by a cloged a/c drain. Under the hood on the pass. side firewall you can see a small tube coming out of the firewall (look towards the bottom). Take a coat hanger and try to clear out the drain, this will solve the problem. You should get a good amount of water come out.
