The drain plug is usually on the back lower side of the pass side. It will be screw out type but it should not come completely out unless you tug it

How to flush coolant system in 1998 Olds Silhouette

Here's a link to read about your Olds. Here's a kit that has instructions how to flush. You need to drain the system, the drain valve is located on lower driver side of the radiator. When the system is dry, shut the valve and fill the radiator with new coolant. Fill until the coolant runs out the top, fill the overflow tank to cold mark.
Start the engine and let it warm up until the thermosat opens. Standing in front of the vehicle there is a small bleed valve located on the right just above the thermostat open it until the coolant comes out and shut it back off. Located on the left of the engine just above the water pump is another bleed valve, do the same with it. You may have to do this two or three times before you have all the air out of the system.

Cant find radiator drain plug

  1. Open the hood.
  2. Look for the fill spout.
  3. From the fill spout go strait down the back of the radiator.
  4. The drain spout is right there on the backside of the radiator towards the bottom (see pic).
  5. Turn with a pair of Vice Grips or stick a little screwdriver in the hole in the center of drain tab.

How to remove radiator drain plug

Radiator caps and drain plugs; these seem to be disappearing from our vehicles since they cost a buck or two.
If your Olds still has one, you should be able to find it easily by checking the lower tank of the radiator.
If you are flushing or changing the fluid, please do not let the old fluid simply run onto the ground since the sweetness of the stuff attracts critters and domestic pets can be poisoned by it.

Rear window wiper works for a few days or weeks

Check the plug is completely plugged into the motor. Maybe a bad connection in the motor itself. Also check the switch, try wiggling it when turning on.

2003 Olds Silhouette air compressor won't shut off

The simple solution is to pull the fuse for the compressor.

If you want this fixed, you most likely have a leak and will need to find and fix it. The compressor may also be rebuilding. Probably not going to be worth putting the money into fixing.

Drain the antifreeze on a oldsmobile silhouette

Under the bottom of the radiator on the there is a drain ****, you will have to raise the car and crawl under it to see it, be careful to not break it, the screw in plug is fragile, it will be hard to unscrew.
