Question about 1994 Chevrolet S-10
Fire is one thing, timing is another. Is the a throttle body type engine? There should be a tan wire with a black stripe with a plastic connector (going from memory) to disconnect. it may be on the firewall near the distributor) But you only do that to set timing. it wont keep it from running or firing.

Hi there is a tan/black wire it should be just above the carpet on the passenger side of the truck. you will need to disconnect this and set the timing then reconnect it and clear the timing code. If this motor will not fire you may want to check and make sure the distributor is set in and timed right. the rotor on these motors dont point at the number one spot on the cap.
