Problems with cutting out, some times shows up when taking foot off accelarator to brake, engine dies, but starts up qickly. That is until last week when it died altogether. Have disconnected every plug...

If your going approx 40mph or better and the vehicle is at operating temperatures, when this happens, its the Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid(TCC). Sometimes this solenoid will give you a code. But you should get a scanner and pull the codes out anyway. if it turns out to be the TCC get the Shop manual this is a pretty easy fix.

Engine management light wont go off

The only way to shut is off is with a hand-held diagnostic scanner. It is probably on for a reason like faulty sensor or circuit of some sort.

Van won't stay on

it sounds like a fuel problem .. check the fuel filter and air cleaner .. first always check the small items before jumping in and doing other things.
