I have never heard of a "timed oil pump" but there can be a first. Also the timing belt is supposed to be tight. Alot of cars are "interferance" motors. Which means if the timing belt goes all the rods stop where they are and the pistons continue there rotation resulting in smashed rods and valves. It should be very tight to get on, try wrenching on the tensioner when you put on the belt. Even get another person to do one while you do the other. Good luck.

Which engine? 4 cylinder or V6: Here's procedure for 4 cylinder:
DISASSEMBLY 1. Remove the alternator belt. 2. Remove the coolant pump pulley. 3. Remove the power steering belt and airconditioner belt. 4. Remove the crankshaft pulley. 5. Remove the timing belt cover. 6. Remove the timing belt tensioner pulley. If the timing belt is reused, make an arrow indicating the turning direction (or the front of the engine) to make sure that the belt is reinstalled in the same direction as before. 7. Remove the timing belt.

The thing is your doing the timing belt the water pump is right their with it . it should cost you much more at all besides the cost of the water pump. When doing a timing belt I have a rule that I go by The timing belt/seals =cam , crank , any pulley & tensioner & water pump all get replaced at the same time. I did a t-belt on a Audi A-8 very complex whole front of car has to come off as well, he didnt want to do w-pump & thermostat his thermostat was their as well not even a month later the water pump gave out he had to pay double the price because he didnt want to do it when I had it apart the first time. And make sure mechanic is ase certified . good luck

the diagram should be posted on the core support in front of the radiator or even under the hood of the vehicle have you looked to your owners Manuel as well however it should clearly be posted under the hood or on one of the strut towers along the side at some point
