Question about Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD

Have code p1125 coming up alot along with reduced engine power [limp mode]. Codes p2101; p2108; and p???? [throttle control circuit correlation]. Already changed the accelerator position sensor [on the throttle pedal] $120.00. changed the throttle body c/w throttle posion sensor [rivetted on] $380.00. And changed the throttle control module [on the firewall] $480.00 [was cracked]. And this problem will not go away. What else can I do????

I have an autel code scanner that does erase codes but can't go one trip without the check engine light and limp mode coming on. I can erase code and reset the reduced engine power command but the light returns sometimes right away and other times takes a few minutes. I am leaning more towards a short in the wiring but the light does not always come on on rough roads and also comes on while vehicle is parked idle???

This one is going to be tough without a scanner and some slueth diagnostics, but the light should go off after three consecutive trips without a fault in the circuit that is scensed.
Click here for detailed diagnostics that should help or atleast resolve this issue.

I understand, you have a code reader, but a diagnostic engine scanner is parmount in this case. You can check the wire connections with a volt meter and verify continuity, but a code reader will read codes and erase codes, and when the PCM see's the same fault, it will just go right back to limp mode.

I will take it to the dealership and see what they can come up with. Thank you for your time.

I wish I had a simple solution for you, but unfortunately this is one of those problems that most people can not diagnose with out the proper tools.I have 4 Jeeps in the family, and I purchase a scanner specfic for Jeep. It cost me $3000.00 dollars, but I can not properly diagnose any of my vehicles correctly without it. It has almost paid itself off. Please rate this solution if ya can, thank you.

Pontiac grand prix 2007 car shutting off, with Start disabled throttle control module.

It doesn't say module , Starting Disabled Due To Electronic Throttle Control !
The throttle actuator control (TAC) system delivers improved throttle response and greater reliability and eliminates the need for mechanical cable. The TAC system performs the following functions:
• Accelerator pedal position (APP) sensing
• Throttle positioning to meet driver and engine demands
• Throttle position sensing
• Internal diagnostics
• Cruise control functions
• Manage TAC electrical power consumption
The TAC system includes the following components:
• The APP sensors
• The throttle body assembly
• The powertrain control module (PCM)
Normal Mode
During the operation of the throttle actuator control (TAC) system, several modes or functions are considered normal. The following modes may be entered during normal operation:
• Minimum pedal value--At key-up, the powertrain control module (PCM) updates the learned minimum pedal value.
• Minimum throttle position (TP) values--At key-up, the PCM updates the learned minimum throttle position value. In order to learn the minimum throttle position value, the throttle blade is moved to the closed position.
• Ice break mode--If the throttle is not able to reach a predetermined minimum throttle position, the ice break mode is entered. During the ice break mode, the PCM commands the maximum pulse width several times to the throttle actuator motor in the closing direction.
• Battery saver mode--After a predetermined time without engine RPM, the PCM commands the battery saver mode. During the battery saver mode, the TAC module removes the voltage from the motor control circuits, which removes the current draw used to maintain the idle position and allows the throttle to return to the spring loaded default position.
Reduced Engine Power Mode
When the PCM detects a condition with the TAC system, the PCM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
• Acceleration limiting--The PCM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control, however the vehicle acceleration is limited.
• Limited throttle mode--The PCM will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control however the maximum throttle opening is limited.
• Throttle default mode--The PCM will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.
• Forced idle mode--The PCM will perform the following actions:
- Limit engine speed to idle by positioning the throttle, or by controlling the fuel and spark if the throttle is turned off.
- Ignore the accelerator pedal input.
• Engine shutdown mode--The PCM will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

I have a 2003 Cadillac cts getting codes p1795 p1780 p1779 p2176 what can be possible problems to fix them?

code p 2176 refers to throttle actuator control(TAC) system--idle position not learned ===causes basic setting not carried out
code p 1795 is CAN bus--throttle body position
code p 1780 is park/neutral position (PNP) switch circuit engine torque signal circuit
code p 1779 is engine torque delivered to TCM signal
go google and type in cadillac fault codes and find a site that has all the codes listed

2004 isuzu rodeo codes P1125, P1295 and P1515 what do they mean ?

no engine stated.
answering for usa rodeo. only. on a usa forum.
it means trouble; the factory manual covers this.
As does mitchells DIY online, read that much>?
those are called DTCs , scan codes. diagnostic trouble codes.
The PCM looks for problems all the time running,
CALLED MONITORS (a sort of nanny)
all cars do this 96 to now, in USA. by law.
If no book or no mitchells try google (or the like)
if you had you'd have seen isuzu examples.

but google finds this in 1 click.

the great justanswersl.com (ASE Techs)?
1125
1295
1515
DTC P1125: ELECTRIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC) LIMIT PERFORMANCE MODE.
2nd hit.,
P1125 Isuzu Electronic Throttle Control Limit Performance Mode P1221 Isuzu Throttle Position Sensor 1-2 Circuit Performance P1295 Isuzu Electronic Throttle Control Power Management Mode P1515 Isuzu TP Sensor To MAF Sensor Correlation

the first hit said, bad grounds top engine to PCM
and bad harness wires to above same place.
but as all techs, no, bad wires, happen all the time.
as do vast other reasons.
what I do , as the FSM states, clearly
is pick one failure and correct it, and sometimes gets them all.
like blown fuses do, on all vehicles.

1125 means limphome, is in force Low power too.
the TPS is acting up.
the 1515 means in English
that the Throttle angle and air flow dO NOT JIBE.
my jeep books calls that "incongruity": (nicer word)
or they differ. and should not.
i'd be checking the TPS voltages. for correct voltage.
this can fail for wires, rust, and bad sensors.
the word performance means it reads funny. (wrong)

we use a real scan tool and a real volt meter to see what the readings are on these parts.
why not get a real ASE tech to find it.
they know all that electronics magic,
ALL learn that there can be false codes.
one failure can trip many codes, but only one is the fundamental code.

or vacuum leaks cause many errors but not one
states vacuum leaks.
see?

I have 3 codes p1125, p1295, and p1515 and was wondering what they are

p1125 tells you the vehicule has gone into (limp) mode or reduced power. p1295 will direct you to a problem with your Throtlle position sensor and p1515 fault indicates theres a problem with the corilation between throttle position and commande giving.

i own a 2001 rodeo LS 3.2L and had this codes show up. The machine had really bad idling and when accelerating quick after first start would go into limp mode and not pick up speed pass 50 kms. i tryed changing the throttle position sensor.. nothing. tryed changing the spark plugs and noticed they looked unusually white (engine running lean) i put injector cleaner in with i freash tank of gas thinking the injectors were dirty and it seemed to help. Next a changed the fuel filter which completly solved my problem. at the last oil change they told me they changed it but didn't the inside of the filter was rusted and clogged starving the engine of fuel.

Problem solve for 15 $ after you change your filter take it to and auto parts store with a computer to reset the engine lights
