Question about 2004 Suzuki Verona

1 Answer

After replacing the battery on my 2004 Suzuki Verona, we learned that we need to reset the radio with a code. We called the dealership and they told us that it would cost $50 to have this done. Is this common? My friend has a Honda CRV that needed the same thing done and her dealership just told her how to do it? I just want to make sure I'm not getting ripped off here.

If you pull your radio out and get the serial number off of it then under most circumstances they can give you the reset code for free. The $50 they want to charge is basically for them to take out your radio to get the serial number off of it so they can pull up the reset code for that unit from their database.

What is the radio unlock code for verona kl5vm52l84b097950

Radio code is specific for each and every car. It is specific like anti theft code.

So you can get it by providing your VIN# and registration details in authorised dealership.Nobody else can provide you. If anybody can provide you that , then there is no meaning of security for your car.

My battery was changed today and now I do not get anything on my radio/CD player. All that shows in the lcd screen is COD. How to I reset the radio/CD player?

You need the security code to reactivate it. If you havent got that hten try your local dealership. If still no go the stereo is useless....its an ant-theft device. If a garage changed the battery I would put it to them to fix / replace. If you did it then you are basically in for replacement stereo!!!
