What are the symptoms? Tell me what's going on with the car and I will try to solve the issue unless you are dealing with someone else. Let me know.

Please don't tell me you are doing a major overhaul without a shop manual. Please? If you really won't pay the few bucks, try calling the dealer service dept and begging for a favor.

1998 Chrylser Sebring Voltage regulator

All I can tell you is that when the regulators in the PCM mess up, the alternator usually will not charge at all.

I do not know what you mean by "all over the place", but I can also tell you that if your charging system voltage is really erratic, like 12 volts one minute and nearly 15 volts the next, it is usually caused by a shorted (oe sulfated) battery cell. A shorted cell will cause the alternator to "full field" and make the whining noise you are describing. Also, shorted battery cells are what usually causes the early death of many alternators.

Why won't my car start without getting a jump? Once I get it jumped it runs really good but when I turn it off and try to start it again, it won't start. I have a new battery and a new alternator...

Buy yourself a volt meter and check the batter voltage before and after it starts. You should read 12 volts before starting and around 14 volts once it starts and the alternator is charging the battery. Also check for loose connections between the alternator and battery. Check that the ground wire from the battery is secured to the vehicles frame. Good luck!

Replacing a window motor on driver side door

the car is 12, put a whole new regulator in it, not just a motor. these can be had at parts stores and ebay for less than a hundred bucks. pay an autoglass shop to put it in, much easier when you have the knowledge, tools, and fasteners at hand. if you want to skin your knuckles and spend a day driving around to find the fasteners there are videos of folks replacing these on once you have done one yourself you will gladly pay someone 50 bucks to do it the next time.

Mercedes 220cdi estate,2x door lock buttons jump up and down repeatedly when i try to lock the car,any ideas?

Called roadside and they said it's the central locking system. Went to the parts department and they said it's the door latch. It has to be brought in to tell which is the actual problem. If it's a latch I can't tell which door it is and I don't really want to take it in and pay $200 for them to tell me.

My car runs really hi. oh and its running lean

Take it to a dealer and have them reprogram the pcm, refuse any diagnosis and tell them just do it. Shouldn't pay more than a half hour labor. If you still have a problem, repost or pay to chat. Bring more info next time, go to autozone or the like where they'll scan for codes for free. But either way, a pcm update can only help.

Oil light flashes on and off!!!

It would be wise to replace the sending unit, but that might not be the problem. The only sure way to tell is to put a manual oil guage on it to check the oil pressure
