3/36 unless you bought an extended warranty. most aftermarket units have a lifetime warranty (Gabriel or Monroe etc)

I have a 2009 Chevy Tahoe with clunking concern. A tech at a shop examined and concluded the front shocks are going bad with leaking on the front shocks, and recommended to replace them. He said they are...

no
shock absorbers are an integral part of the safe driveability of the vehicle
shock absorbers with oil leaks are failed and should be replaced asap
suggest that you get firm with the dealer and demand that they be replaced if you have an extended warranty that covers the items
read the warranty as many extended warranties only cover engine and drive train and not what you have been lead to believe
which ever what happens the units need to be replaced
it is a strut type suspension it will also affect tyre wear

I have a 2009 Tahoe at 99300 mile with clunking symptom and all wet front shock. when i ask a service adviser at Checy dealer, and he told me that he thought the condition was not affected to claim to...

If the noise and oil leakage indicates a shock absorber failure and that is covered under warranty then he is obliged to replace it under warranty. I would contact the customer service division of the manufacturer --explain in detail and get the reply as to what was done was correct or not.. The manufacturer is more likely to help than a dealer who is only interested in making money from you.

I have 99 yz250. Front shocks appear to be leaking oil. Can they be fixed and how, or do they need replaced?

you can buy shock oil with seal swell from any motor cycle shop. try this and if it doesn't work you can just change the seals.

2004 jaguar xj8 reads vehicle to low.. where do i put oil for the front shocks to solve this problem??

You can't add oil to the shocks. You may have faulty shocks but not likely. This vehicle uses a compressor and fills the gas shocks with air to adjust ride height. You could have a faulty compressor, an air leak in the system or the sensor which indicates the actual height is faulty. I'd recommend getting it diagnosed at a reliable alignment or tire shop. Sometimes scanning the suspension system may have a fault code that disables the system.

Bad oil leak driver side front fender

There is an adapter for the oil filter with 2 lines coming out of it above the drive shaft from the transfer case to the front differential. The O ring on these will go sometimes causing loss of oil. Also check the 2 lines for leaks and cracks.

Front axel oil leak

High pressure wash the entire area and engine, including the strut or shock area. Depending on how long it takes to leak, look at the axle at night with a flashlight as you can see shinny liquid easy at night, but you will see it in the day also if the leaking is prominant.

You might have a leaky strut or shock that is running down on the axle and I am hoping the mechanic took you for a ride,

Oil leaking from shock

I would not drive it like that. Have them come and get it. I used to work for Gabriel Shocks at the Manufacturing Plant in Oklahoma and can Tell you that you Could loose Control Driving it that way. Warranty will cover it.

ONE REAR AIR SHOCK IS LEAKING IN MY 2002 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE

you could replace the one shock but do you know why it is leaking oil? Typically unless there was something traumatic to happen to one of the rear shocks, then if one is going you can almost be the other one will go soon. I ended up having too many problems with the air ride suspensions. If you haven't yet, look into conversion kits as something to consider for down the road if nothing else. www.strutmasters.com has a great kit that is made in America and comes with a lifetime warranty. They have a good reputation and track record and can help you save some money and find the permanent solution if anything else goes wrong.
