Hi, you can have your local Chevy dealer cut new keys for you. You will need to take the VIN number located on the top dash and a picture ID to the dealers parts department. Or there is always a locksmith not my personal choice. Thanks good luck

Some times the second set of keys will only unlock the doors you'll have to go to a dealer or call Chevy to get another key sent to you

I locked my keys in my chevy tahoe, so i thought I would try the key to another chevy truck of mine, it worked and unlocked the doors so I tried it in the ignition just to see if it would work to star

If you have opened the doors to obtain your locked up keys you do not need to use some other key to try and start the vehicle do you. The wrong key is not going to start the vehicle.

I have a 1997 chevy tahoe and put a 2005 chevy tahoe motor in and my gas mileage is only 8 to 10 miles per gallon, why?

As these are two different motors with different type control systems involved, did you mean that you installed a replacement motor that was remanufactured or purchased new in 2005?

Will a 1990 chevy 1500 truck 4x4 transmission fit in a 1997 4x4 chevy tahoe

yes it will as long as it is the same model transmission. As long as you get a transmission out of a standard cab truck you should be ok. ( for a good idea Most 88-98 gm trucks, full size blazers, jimmys, tahoes, and yukons will interchange) same chassis just different bodys and emblems

My 1997 chevy tahoe does not start right away.

Sounds like a starter problem, suggest you get it checked at your local trusted mechanic the next time it starts... If the starter is your problem it wont start for many more times.
