Hi, have the drive shaft checked at a good drive train center. I have had problems with these in the past. You may also want to have the alignment checked a vech out of alignment can cause a shimmy and mistaken for a vibration. Hope this helps.

I have a 2009 Scion xb. I just started noticing a vibrating/grinding sound/feel when my car goes between 35-40 mph. Any speeds before or after the car is perfect. I took it to a mechanic and they came up...

It may be due to the dynamic unbalance of the Tires which is usually observed at the speed which you have mentioned. Get all the Tires be balanced on wheel balancing machine.

My truck shakes at highway speeds

How old are the tires on the vehicle-sounds like a balance problem that happens at certain speeds. Does the vibration happen at any other speeds? When were the tires balanced last? If balance is ok then check out the steering system for loose and worn parts. There is a possibility of a park brake backing plate rust issue- what is the make and model. Newer trucks use a park brake with 4 wheel disc brake that mounts in the smaller cavity of the rotor on the rear axle. This would cause the noise you describe and the vibration.

Vibration in front end of Chevy Trailblazer 4x4

Does the shake match tire rotation or drive shaft rotation speed? If it's at tire rotation speed, have the new tires been dynamically balanced on a brand name motorized balancer?Re balance them that way.If a wheel weight has come off you will have a shake. You can also rotate the tires from front to back and see if that helps. Also, brake rotors can be out of balance and even with a perfectly balanced tire, the rotor can throw the balance off.

I have a 1999 ford f 350 7.3 diesel. it drives ok but at 40 mph it vibrates pretty bad but at 45 it goes away but with a minor shake....and when i stop it vibrates i figure its the brakes being warped is...

could be out of balanced tires or possibly your suspension could be out of alignment, brake rotors being warped will only cause a vibration when pressing the brakes

Brakes all 4 lock up steering wheel shakes above

OK, when the ABS module is unplugged, the same results. That tells me that the ABS system is not working properly.
Did they look into the master cylinder and other abs related components?
Any ABS codes on it?

If steering wheel shakes above 50 mph that's likely to be the tires on it, rather than a brake problem.

Have tires balanced and rotated and inspected for out of roundness that might cause vibration above 50 mph.

Front wheels and steering wheel shake while driving

If you get a bad vibration in your steering wheel at low speeds without braking it is either a bad tire or a bad rim. If you get a vibration at speeds around 45-50+ and goes away you probably have a balance issue. If the vibration only occurs while braking then your rotors are warped. If low speeds it shakes i'd take it to a shop to check your tires.
