SOURCE: firing order for 97 chevy blazer

Firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2. Distributor cap should be numbered. Number one cylinder is front on driver's side (3 and 5 follow on same side). Number 2 is front on passenger's side (followed by 4 and 6).

I have a 97 chevy cavalier and its running ruff blowing the muffler off and the spark plugs out I put a new fuel filter

If it is blowing the spark plugs out are the threads stripped? Sounds as if you may have the plug wires connected to the wrong plugs. Check firing order.

    FIRING ORDERS

    See Figures 1 and 2
To avoid confusion, remove and tag the spark plug wires one at a time, for replacement.
If a distributor is not keyed for installation with only one orientation, it could have been removed previously and rewired. The resultant wiring would hold the correct firing order, but could change the relative placement of the plug towers in relation to the engine. For this reason it is imperative that you label all wires before disconnecting any of them. Also, before removal, compare the current wiring with the accompanying illustrations. If the current wiring does not match, make notes to reflect how your engine is wired.

In good detail explain fire order on a 97 chevy cavalier pice would be amazing

What would be even more amazing would be if you were to bother mentioning WHICH ENGINE your Cavalier is equipped with. If it is a 4-cylinder engine (most likely) the firing order is 1-3-4-2.
