2001gti vr6 ac not working. Blowing hot air. Is it posible bad module?

First check the ac fuse, if it is ok check to see if the clutch is turning when the ac switch is turned on. If clutch does not engage you should check the ac relay. It is usually located in the fuse box. You can switch places with it and another relay with the same number in the box. If compressor still doesn't run it may need to be charged with R134. If compressor runs for a few seconds and shuts off and continues doing this with control on high. It nees more refrigerant added.

94 camry 4c- ac just stopped working- checked refrig level-ok, checked fuses-ok, replaced blower motor- it blew just on fan- everything stopped when I turned the ac on. I heard a squeak from the belt and...

Spin center of compressor by hand if ok, check single wire to compressor for 12 volts with ac on, if no voltage is present double check your refrigeration refrigeration pressures, you may have overcharged or overcharged the system either way the low or high pressure switches could be bad or indicating a problem with the charge

2002 ford mustang air conditioner stopped working. How do I locate the problem?

FIRST I CHECK ALL FUSES AND RELAY.TO BLOWER MOTOR IF IT STOP BLOWING.AND CHECK FUSE TO HVAC SWITCH CONTROL.AND CHECK FUSE / RELAY TO AC COMPRESSOR.IF FUSE / RELAY GOOD POWER GETTING TO AC COMPRESOR CLUTCH COIL AND LOW PRESSURE SIDE 28 PSI AND HIGH SIDE 200 PSI. CLUTCH COIL IS OPEN.IF REFRIGERANT LEVEL LOW YOU MAY NEED MORE REFRIGERANT.YOU NEED AT LEAST 28 PSI ON LOW SIDE AND 200 - 220 PSI ON HIGH SIDE.IF ALL IS GOOD STILL NO AC PROBLEM COULD BE A FAULTY AC CLUTCH CYCLING PRESSURE SWITCH.

My 2005 ford ranger a/c is not working all the sudden, could it be a fuse?

My AC quit all of a sudden and it was a switch in the ac line. It was located on one of the air conditioner lines almost next to the firewall. Looked like a little box. When the p/u was running and the ac was turned on, I tapped it with a screwdriver handle and the ac compressor came on. I think it was a low pressure switch and is supposed to keep the ac from running without any freon, so you might try that. Best of luck.<!-- from fixya rte -->

Ac does not work i don't measure powere to the

If the fuse is ok, and you are getting no power to the compressor, then it's possible that the a/c switch in the dash is bad or loose, or it's possible that there is a problem elsewhere in the circuit.

As a test, try wiring the compressor directly to the battery to see if it comes on. If this checks out ok, then pull the switch from the dash and test it. If the switch is ok, you will need a circuit diagram to track down the problem in the circuit.

PS. Just in case you didn't know this, if the refrigerant pressure in the system is too low, the compressor will not come on. Sometimes this is mistaken as a sign that the compressor or circuit are bad. Make sure that your system has a sufficient load of refrigerant. You can get an inexpensive R-134 pressure gauge included in a recharge kit from most discount stores or auto parts stores.

Check to see if the fan or fans on the radiator are running with the ac on.If they are not running, check for blown fuse for cooling fans.If the fuse is ok,check for a bad cooling fan relay.Last but not least, look for a bad high side switch on the high side of the ac.It is probley on the high side line of the ac system. If I can help, let me know...roniecon@gmail.com

AC stops working, Works when I hit the control panel

Sounds like you have a short somewhere, or a module going bad. IF you hit the unit, and it starts working, it is most likely a bad control module.

96 B3000 AC problem

Hi BowTieOne!

There is probably a blown fuse in the primary A/C fan circuits... When in MAX mode, that circuit is bypassed and on it's own fuse So check the fuses under/in dash and underhood. Might also be a bad switch, but my money's on a fuse!

Hope this is a help, let us nknow, and good luck!
