Hi, this vech should have and air bag module as the horn pad do you mean that the pad will not move down to activate the horn? are then any lights showing on the dash such as SES, CHECK ENGINE, SRS or AIRBAG ? Thank you

No light on dash and yes the pad will not move down to activate horn. What am I looking at to replace air bag module? Does this mean that there is no air bag?

No if there was a problem with the airbag module a light would be set. I would suspect that you most likely have an open wire in the contacts under the pad. Check to see if the fuse is good and if you have power to your horns. If you feel that it is under the airbag be sure to take it to a qualified service center and do not attempt to remove it yourself. Hope this has helped. Happy motoring

If the horn pad feels like there is nothing under it is it possible that the airbag module collapsed and that no indicator light was present? I believe that this started after I hit the horn hard when someone cut me off.

Horn on 2005 Prius only work with key.

Check the Horn Relay (in fuse box under the hood). You will need to check for Circuit continuity between the Relay and the horn button. There must be a loose connection under the dashboard or in steering column. Pressing the Horn button Grounds the circuit, so check the circuit from the relay to the horn button for continuity to ground.

Bought a 1992 acura vigor and found horn fuse missing. when I replaced the fuse alarm goes off and constantly sounds. how do I stop it? I've read that there's a relay somewhere under the hood

horn relay located on the right side kick panel, you will see a row of relays,if horn relay is okay, more likely your horn control pad has a short inside causing horn button contacts to stick causing horn to keep blowing.

Horn doesn't blow but does with alarm

Usually a sign the horn pad under the air bag is not working, or a wiring problem between the horn pad and the horn relay.

Horn not working

use a test light see if horn getting power,if test light flash when you press horn pad, more likely horn could be bad or hot wire horn see if it works,if no horn need replacing,if test light dont blink when you press horn pad you have blowed fuse or bad horn relay,if both fuse and relay of the horn pad bad have replace whole horn pad with airbag in the steering wheel.

I have a '93 jeep cherokee and my horn doesn't work. I've checked the fuse and it's fine but now i don't know where to locate the horn itself to check for disconnections or to replace...

LOOK UNDER THE LOWER AIR DEFLECTOR FROM BELOW THE RADIATOR. IF YOU HOT WIRE CAR HORN AND IT WORKS.YOU HAVE TO REPLACE THE WHOLE AIRBAG IN STEERING WITH HORN CONTROL BUTTONS.YOU NEED TO DISABLE AIRBAG IN STEERING WHEEL WHEN REPLACING AIRBAG AND HORN CONTROL BUTTON PAD.JUST TURN OFF RADIO FIRST, THEN DISCONNECT REMOVE THE NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE.WAIT 20 MINUTES BEFORE WORKING ON AIRBAG AND HORN PAD IN THE STEERING WHEEL.

2003 gmc 2500 hd..horn doesn't work

The horn pad is made of vinyl which contracts through the four seasons causing this problem for some. Remove the horn pad with the battery disconnected first of all. Use a jumper wire to see if the horn works. If id does check the horn relay next. If ok hot wire the horn direct. One should be your problem or it is a broken wire instead

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Diamante and my horn gets works when we jump it, but it does not seem to be working from the steering wheel....Do you think it could be anything other than the relay being replaced

The relay is probally going to be the main issue, with the assumption you have checked the fuze. Another issue may be the horn pad in the steering wheel, or related wires. Check to see if you are getting a ground signal to the horn relay. (From the horn pad) this is what activates the relay that should have B+ all the time.

Hope this helps

1995 Prizm Horn Problem

keep the steering wheel in one spot, do not rotate,  check horn by pressing pad in different areas.  If it is intermittent then horn pad is concern.  If it works well trying slowly turning steering wheel while pressing horn pad if there is a point in turning the wheel where horn becomes inop, then the common fault is the horn contact ring inside of the steering column
