Condition 1

Water may be entering from the top of the strut tower into the driver side and or passenger side floor. Pull the carpeting back and check for water entering the vehicle.

Insufficient body sealer may be the cause.

Reseal the strut tower. Use 3MTM Ultrapro Autobody Sealant Clear or equivalent.

Condition 2

Water may be entering through the seams in the floor pan on the driver side and/or passenger side.

Insufficient body sealer may be the cause.

Remove the carpet and reseal the sheet metal seam.

Condition 3
Water may be entering through the liftgate weatherstrip (between a gap in the sheet metal at the bottom).

Insufficient body sealer may be the cause.

Remove the weatherstrip and reseal the sheet metal.

Condition 4

Water may be entering between the liftgate and the weatherstrip.

The liftgate may not be tight enough to the weatherstrip.

Adjust the liftgate. Refer to Liftgate Adjustment in SI.

Condition 5

Water may be entering through a gap in the sealer at the rear D-pillar (roof to body).

Insufficient body sealer may be the cause.

Remove the roof rack and inspect for any voids in the sealant. Refer to Luggage Carrier Replacement Equinox or Torrent in SI. Use 3MTM Ultrapro Autobody Sealant Clear or equivalent.

Condition 6

Important: After repairing any of the previous seven conditions and after following the instructions in the SI document titled "Eliminating Unwanted Odors in Vehicles" and the odor concern is not fixed, follow the instructions below.

It will be necessary to remove the LASD from the floor. It is only necessary to remove the LASD that got wet. After the LASD has been removed and the floor pan cleaned, it will be necessary to install sound deadening pads, GM P/N 12378195, or an equivalent sound deadener to replace what was removed.

Chev Impala Air ducting leaks water to the passinger side floor compartment when it rains

Open the hood, remove 2 plastic pins & cover just below the windshield on passenger side. There should be a preformed long rubber gasket that diverts any water away from the cabin filter (regularly replaced) found underneath in the compartment & sometimes the rubber becomes dislodged when changing the cabin filter.

Water leaking in the passenger side floor after a heavy rain.

Here' s trick to find water leaks into cabin area,.
Mix a quart of water with a tablespoon of Murphy's Oil Soap (won't harm finish on car) liquid, mixing gently just to mix but not foam.
Start car, and place blower fan on full setting. Close all windows and other openings to try to help increase positive air pressure inside cabin compartment
Get out of car with fan blowing (engine can be running but make sure you don't lock yourself out of car) and gently pour solution on suspected areas. If there's a leak opening, the air from cabin will cause bubbles indicated leak point.
Also raise hood and use solution on fire wall where there are seams and sealant applied. I've seen these be leaks soaking the driver's side floor mats.

If you find a leak, seal it with the best clear silicone caulk, generally about $7 a tube. Clean all areas to be sealed thoroughly of any dirt, oil, grease, or loose rusted metal.

Good Luck

Water is pooling in rear storage compartment after rain. No windows were left open, sunroof was closed.

Sounds like you have a leak in the body somewhere.

Has the rear end ever been wrecked, may be something wasnt sealed properly.

2002 Camry water on drivers side floor whenever it

There are three possibilities, the winshield seal is leaking, the door seal is defective or the door window seal is leaking, sometimes you can find out by having an assistant inside the car observe the areas mentioned while you spray the car with the pressure washer at the car wash.

let's try something here and see if works,
get a garden water hose and put the most pressure near where you see leaking water and have someone inside the car look for it.
