The camshaft sensor is mounted on a camshaft sycronizer (replaces distributor). Check for play up or down or back & forth. Most likely there is play & it will causes a chirping noise & burn out that new sensor prematurely. If there is play it will need to be replaced.

Why am I still getting a bad fuel sensor code after installing a new one

Most likely something else in system. Back firing is gas getting into exhaust system. Could be a connection or bad wire. Could also be a bad camshaft sensor

Engine midfiring, check engine light on, hesitates on accelleration

its your camshaft postion sensor. You have to change the whole sensor not just the cap. Around 50 bucks at o'riley's autopart store.
