You will either need to reeducate the computer or have the dealer do it for you.
If you call them they can explain the procedure.
I believe it is start the car cold, let it run till warm.
Put your foot on the brake, put it in "D" then "R" then back to park, after that it could take as long as a month for the car to finnish learning.
But I would call the local Chevy dealer to get the low down for your vehical.

Changed spark plugs on 2003 gmc envoy 4.2lno runs bad

First of all, did you use AC Delco Iridium plugs part number 41-103? These are the best plugs for this engine.
Second, did you firmly seat the coil pack when reinstalling them on each plug?
If it is running bad, are you getting the Check Engine light coming on? If so, what is the code?
When you changed the plugs, did you disconnect the battery? If you did, the rough running could mean that the throttle body should be cleaned.

Changed the battery when i turned the air on the rpm dropped and the truck cut off also it said oil pressure low. but runs good without the air on i have a 02 gmc envoy

You need to have the throttle body cleaned, make sure both the front side and rear side are cleaned thoroughly. Changing the battery reset the computer to factory default settings which are different than when it operated with a dirty throttle body.

Do to the loss of battery power while changing your battery, your Engine Control Unit (ECU) has reset and need to re-gather information. It is also possible that your battery does not have a solid connection causing loss of power and loss of data for your ECU.

Check your connections and wiring to your battery to make sure you have a solid connection and no frayed wiring causing unintentional grounding, and insuring any corrosion has been cleaned from the terminals of your battery and the battery terminal clamps.

turn on your vehical and ideal it for 10 to15 minutes. Do not rev the throttle/engine during this time as your ECU will be gathering info from the idling and will adjust to compensate during this idle time. Typically you should be able to drive the vehical with no issues after this time. A 30 minute freeway drive following your idle should give your ECU a full set of info and your car should run smoothly after that.

2003 gmc envoy will not start, just a clicking sound, changed the starter, that didn't help, it will start sometimes with a battery charger hooked to it. what should i try next?

Check the battery cable connections for corrosion. Clean and tighten if necessary. Get the battery checked out at a dependable auto shop. Some places will check them for free.

What is the relearn procedure for a 2003 envoy? Envoy has smooth idle until a/c compressor comes on then it stumbles and cuts off. The battery cable was disconnected for about an hour. It has been about 2...

undoing the battery to reset the computer to reset a problem- if the problem wasnt taken care of the problem usually comes back--if it was to reset something like fuel cap the computer needs to go thru multi cycles and or 125 to 150 miles have the truck scanned most auto stores such as auto zone/advanced auto do it for free check ur local area u may have a fault code thats causing problems

Will I lose any settings in the electrical system when I change the battery in a 2003 GMC Envoy? If so what do I need to do to reset things?

Yes, but you can keep your settings by going to an auto parts store and get a ciglighter plug that has a 9v battery connection. Just plug it in and then disconnect the battery. Remove after done.

Why does my heater keep running after I shut my Envoy off?

I have the same problem. I have also been searching the web for a solution. I came across someone saying that it was the heater module located behind the glove department. I can't find now where i read this but it said the part was approx. $150.00. He was having same problem as us, heater wouldn't obey touch commands to turn on/off or when heater did blow it would only blow real low or real high. Like you, after turning off engine blower motor was still running even though it wasn't blowing air out.
I'm tired of paying for things that are not due to normal "wear and tear" on my 2003 Envoy. Let me know if this helps you and how you repaired it. I'll probably have to take mine to the shop but because I'm a "girl" I swear they think I'm crazy with all my Envoy complaints.
