Dead or weak battery, corroded or loose terminals, bad cable, bad solenoid (starter relay), bad ignition switch, bad neutral safety interlock, driver forgot to put car in park or neutral before starting, bad wiring. When you turn the key, do you hear anything, like maybe a clicking noise, or is the car completely silent?

SOURCE: Amps from a starter for 1989 Ford Taurus

Coming out? None
You should have a starter draw of about 250-300 amps during cranking. Disconnect the fuel or ignition system and crank for several seconds to get a good reading.

SOURCE: po443 code 2002 ford taurus

That code is for the Evaporative Emissions. It could be a bad Evaporative Emissions Canister Valve or just a bad vacuum line or my granddaughter's 1997 Ford Escort had that code and her gas cap was NOT on. Now when you figure out what one it is disconnect the battery for 10 minutes to reset the computer.

Starter attempts to re-engage after already running

I agree with Ignition switch diagnosis. Another possibility is a short in the lockout for the gearshift and brake pedal lever. This is suppose to stop you from starting the vehicle unless your foot is on the brake pedal. These get smashed and it should not allow power to go to the starter relay, but if they do cross the circuit, it may provide power to the starter relay. You did not say if the starter tried to engage when you tried to shift from Park.

I think the Ignition switch is the most likely, but I wanted to mention the crushed lockout switch as a remote possibility.

Do 2002 ford Taurus 24 valve v-6 have a starter relay mounted on the firewall?

I don't think so. The starter has a solonoid on it. There isn't a relay involved. Check for power at the small wire on the starter when the key is in the "start" position. If there is power there ,the starter is bad. If not, could be neutral safety switch or ignition switch.

2002 Ford Taurus-won't start, replaced starter last night, started once, but hasn't since. Battery is good. Any ideas?

Have you thought of maybe checking the ignition switch that starts your vehicle. A faulty ignition switch will give you the same symptoms as a dead battery or a faulty starter. I hope this helps you out.

My 2002 Ford Taurus will not start. When i turn

check your battery and charging system. take your battery out and go have it tested. once a good battery is in place, have the charging system tested and make sure you have sufficient charge(13.3-14.5v is standard).its getting cold out there people and batteries tend to fail now most of all because of how we treated them in the summer.

Car will not start.

Next step is checking the battery, or replacing it.
After that, check that the 'security' key or whatever is used on that vehicle isn't messed up. Might be a fuse for that as well.
