Without stating what vehicle this is....if you have taken the interior door mould off.......you may need to remove the belt mould on the ecterior to be able to remove the glass......i assume it is electric also......you will probably have to remove the 3 screws holding the window motor and the 4 scres/bolts holding the vertical regulator off to be able to raise the glass enough to remove the 2 bolts holding it to the regulator.....it is a tricky job and putting a sheet in between the glass and the motor, will save some damage....
how do you know it is the motor that is the problem and not the wiring/switch ????

Thanks for the reply. The car is a Mitsubishi Delica L400 Exceed Space Gear. I have removed the motor bolts and the glass is laying in the bottom. I tested the wiring and had 12 volts with the switch one way and -12 volts with the switch the other way. I now need to remove the motor to test it.
    Thanks

The rear window on the driver's side did not work...somehow my daughter got it down but now it will not go up...help!

You probably have a worn out motor for the window glass or your window mechanism is defective. Try to have someone pull the glass up slowly while usin g the switch on that side of the door. If that does not work completely disassemble the door pads or trim, the one inside the vehicle (cover) and remove the mounting screws of the glass first then the m otor. Remove the glass by positioning in the door where it will come out from the top portion of the door.

  13. Loosen the nuts to remove the rear sash.
  14. Disconnect the power window motor wiring harness.
  15. Loosen the four bolts and two nuts to pull out the regulator assembly.
  16. Remove the screws to remove the motor from the regulator assembly.
