Question about 2007 Hyundai Tucson Limited

Hi, I have recently purchased a tuscon with

Hi, I have recently purchased a tuscon with 70,000km on the clock. When i got it home a warning light was on the dash. I took it to my closest dealer and he found fault code DTC 0011. He also found that the previous owner had only serviced it once and it had done 40,000km between services. The caryard had serviced it before i bought it and neglected to tell me this. He found the cam faser valve was dirty with sludge and after cleaning it the fault was rectified. He now reccomends the sump and rocker be removed and cleaned of sludge so i dont get a blocked pickup. The caryard where i bought it has given me a 3 month warranty but disputes that this needs to be done. The caryard is not a hyundai dealer and i was looking for hyundais opinion. My local hyundai dealer is predominantly holden so i'm not sure how experienced they are with hyundais. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou, Damian Magnay

40 000 km without a service? that car is in serious trouble - the dirt inside it must be horrible. Yes, both the sump and the rocker must be removed for cleaning, the time when you could have used a simple oil cleaning additive is long gone. If they take them out make sure they also do a thorough cleaning on the rest of the engine.
To make sure that the engine is in good order, for the next 3 oil changes make them at 5000 km after running a cleaning additive on the engine. And use only good quality oil filters from now on.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a orange ! light on in my car. I recently popped my tire and have a spare...is this is problem? 2011 Hyundai Tuscon

Its probably been triggered by the absence of the TPMS(tire pressure monitoring sensor) on the spare u have on. With d specified tire complete with the TPMS the light should be easily erased.

I havea 2009 tuscon sx. the ESP OFF light comes on occassionally affecting the gearbox & not allowing the car to get out of gear. the ESP OFF button on the dash doesn't do anything. We have taken it...

Whenever that ESP/ESC warning light comes on, there is a diagnostic code set (DTC). This code tells the technician which component in the system CAUSED the ESP/ESC control module to turn ON the warning light!

Did the technicians SCAN for any DTC's? Since the vehicle is a 2009, the service department is supposed to have Hyundai's GDS (Global Diagnostic System) available to do this. If they don't have this equipment, find a service department that DOES!

The best thing to do is to have the vehicle scope tested this way the tech can see whats causing the problem.

How do I set the clock???

Depends on what stereo model you have, as they used a few different ones. My 99 has small letters "H" and "M" on right side, where you poke/push in, with head of a pen to adjust.

Press the mode button agian and it will switch to "set clock". You can select a 12 hour (standard) or 24 hour (military) clock. You then use the key pad to enter the time and the AM or PM setting .
