If the battery was, for any reason, disconnected, you will need to reset the alarm/immobiliser.

After a minor collision in a 2001 ford focus and air bags were deployed car starts no damage how do I reset airbags and how much

1. It is expensive to replace air bags(which is one reason you need to insure your car) . If you want a price then contact Ford service or a body repair shop and they will give you a quote.

2. Installing and set up of new air bags is NOT a do it yourself task and needs to be carried out by a professional. Don't even consider trying to do this yourself or have some amateur try to do this for you.

Have your insurance company come to where your car is
& look it over & compare the repair to the work that the insurance
company wanted done.

Ask a lawyer how to proceed, would be next

I would guess the body shop cut corners or you didn't go to
the top two shops they recommend going to

After a minor collision in which my airbags deployed I have found 4 out of 7 seat belts are now locked in the position which they were at time of the accident. Advice on replacing these would be greatly...

Did an insurance company pay for the air bag and collision damage ?
If so and the car just recently came back from the shop, I would get in touch with the insurance company.
An insurance repaired car is supposed to come back to you in the same condition as before the wreck. At least on paper.
Read this - it's not gonna be hyperlinked so you'll have to type it in.

Not suggesting you send your tensioners to this guy, just that you read what he says.

Get in touch with insurance. Most Google searches say that the tensioner is toast.

My airbag lite stays on in my hyundai 2003 santa fe what does this mean

A solid air bag light indicates the air bag computer detects a fault in the air bag system. If the light is on the air bags won't deploy in the event of an accident. The computer will have to be scanned to determine what the problem is.

Air bag light stays on

I had the same issue wit my 2006 Hyunda Santa Fe air bag light staying on. I had the system scanned and it was the passenger bottom seat. It has sensors in the padding that monitor the weight on the seat. If it is over 40-60 pounds then in case of an accident the air bag will deploy. This is to protect children in case they are setting in the front seat. However if the wire sensors over time break and the circuit is open then the air bag light will stay on. The bottom seat is around $300 dollars not counting labor to replace.

Have there been any unexplained air bag deployment in 2005 santa fe on the drivers side while in motion. my husband was driving and he said the air bag deployed and then he hit a car in front of him. do...

http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/cars/problems/ is the website I checked for your car and found no reference to this issue. There are reports of airbag deployments with no collisions, although they are rare. The computer in your car is capable of displaying the deployment, and may show which sensor in the front if any caused it to deploy (collision first/deployment second) or if no sensor signal (deployment first / collision second) is logged. Whatever the outcome, you will need a specialist in data extraction to achieve this.

Something is wrong with the SRS. This is not a DIY repair. Take it to a professional for repair. They will reset the light after repairing it. Otherwise the air bag may not deploy in an accident or may deploy at any moment. Don't take the risk. Get this fixed

Airbags

You may need to call several salavage yards, but there should be one out there that will sell you one without the air bag. If your steering wheel isn't damaged, you might be able to disconect the air bag from the steering wheel.

I got into accident, airbags deployed, dont want new airbags, but front blinkers dont work, how do i fix?

If this was a reportable accident, your insurance company should take care of the air bag and consequencial damages. Bypassing safety devices as such creates greater risk of severe injury because the rest of the vehicle is designed with all systems functional. Ck w/ insurance co.
