I cant tell you to do this.. But if you add about 3-4 ounces of acetone to your tank of gas it should go threw. They sell a version of this in autozone. Ask the guy at the counter, hell show you where. Acetone is the home version of this, and CAN but has not been proven to harm sensors. I have done it with cars that had a bad catalystic converter and passed.

Your idle air control valve is probably bad. That's what causes a high-low-high idle on Honda vehicles.

1994 honda accord failed its emisions test.

i would say change the O2 sensors and a new cat ,these readings are well over the top ,could have a exhaust blow on exhaust as well which will throw out the O2 readings

Failed emission NOx on a 93 Honda accord ex its papes the 25/25 test but not the 50/50 test. what is wrong how do I fix this? check engine light stays on?

The only thing I can think of checking would be the EGR valve, a faulty cat converter or faulty o2 sensor. Converter shouldn't set off check engine light though unless it is clogged causing too much back pressure, most likely EGR Valve.

MY 1992 HONDA ACCORD WON'T PASS THE EMISSIONS TEST

if it's slightly above the limit.. you could try putting in premium gas or an octane additive as that will lower your emissions slightly..

My 1992 Cutlass Supreme SL Olds failed emissions.

High NOX readings indicate a somewhat lean condition IE: hot exhaust. Possible causes are cracked and leaking vacuum lines or lazy oxygen sensors. If possible have a reputable garage with engine electronics scanner services check the sensor to see if its helping to create the lean condition

Nox to high

You probably have a bad catalytic converter, but it is possible the ignition timing is too advanced. If the timing is correct you could try and cheat your way through the test by retarding the timing. This would be done by turning the distributor a little clockwise, lets say...8 degrees with a timing light.
Just don't tell Al Gore.

Failed e-test

O2 sensor helped me but not enough to pass. Loosen your distributor bolts, one on each side, turn your distributor counter clock wise about 1/4 inch and tighten bolts. This will raise your CO but should reduce the NOX. When the vehicle is passed, undo the changes.
