First thing would be to check for any vacuum leaks. If all the hoses are entacted, and are not spongy or not cracked, then you could have a faulty sensor such as MAF sensor.

When it is stalling out, you want to see find out if there is no fuel or no spark. Those are the two things you need to have a running engine. If no spark, then your looking at faulty crankshaft position sensor. If you have spark in some cylinders but not all, then you are looking at faulty ignition module.
If your spark is good to each and every cylinder, then your problem would be no fuel. That would be caused by faulty fuel pump, faulty fuel pump relay, or bad fuel pressure regulator and possible plugged fuel filter

It sits in the front of the engine. Find your plug wires, trace them down to the coil packs and ignition module. Then there are two wires from here that lead right to the crankshaft position sensor which is mounted in the front side of the engine block.

Probably the throttle positioning sensor has a flat spot inside of it. It operates just like a reostat. If the wiring gets a hot spot it will produce no continuity to provide a reading to the computer to sense the output needed to provide the fuel to the engine

2003 ford taurus serpentine belt route 3.0 ohc

There was a dual overhead cam so I'm guessing that's the engine you are talking about The other 3.0 liter engine wasn't an overhead cam engine. I went on to be on the safe side and provided belt diagrams for both engines because they were different. The first picture and description of which pulley is which is for the DOHC 3.0L engine which is what I'm guessing you have. The second set of pictures/descriptions is for the other 3.0L engine. Hope this helps....

It is most likely not a DOHC only 8% of the 1997 ford taurus's cam with DOHC but you can tell if you look inside of your engine compartment the calve cover or top of the engine will look like this photo.franktilt.jpg

What is the cooling system capacity of a92 ford taraus 3.0 v6 engine? I need it to use Blue Devil

Hello Diggit.
There were two 3 liter engines available in 1992.
If yours is not the overhead cam equipped engine the capacity in a dry system is 11 US quarts.
If you do have the overhead cam engine it is 11.6 US quarts.
There you are.
Thank you for using FixYa !

I need a picture of the spark plugs on a 1998 ford taurus numbered

I don't have a link with pictures, but I will describe the cylinder and coil numbers for both the overhead valve (OHV) and the overhead cam (OHC) as best I can.
Facing the engine from the front bumper.
On the 3.0 overhead valve (OHV) the cylinder location looks like this:
1 2 3
4 5 6

The coil location looks like this:
5 1
6 2
4 3

If you have the 3.0 overhead camshaft (OHC) engine again facing the engine from the front bumper your cylinder location looks like this:

1 2 3
4 5 6

Your coil location looks like this:

4 6 5
3 2 1

I hope this was helpful.
