Is there any recalls on the 2010 chevrolet malibu ltz

There is (1) recall that effects all 2004 - 2010 Chevrolet Malibu's.

Recall #13036: "Brake Lamp Malfunction". The dealer will repair the body control module and brake pedal position sensor connector and harness.

The following parts were installed by the dealer for my 2010 Malibu:
11509086 - SL-N-Strap (08965-BOPCKT)
13596990 - SL-N-Clip (02559-C)
13596991 - SL-N-Retainer (02559-C)
15188763 - SL-N-Retainer (04634-CT)

Your local dealer will have this information available. Make sure to have your VIN number before calling.

Is it more expensive to take my 2002 chevy malibu to a dealer for servicing

yes it is, because they charge so much labor on top of the cost for parts. if you can do it, change the plugs, wires, air filter, gas filter etc, this way you only pay for parts.

2002 Chevrolet Malibu. Replaced fuel pump after diagnosis

Sounds like a leaking fuel pressure regulator. After it has been replaced change the oil and check for oil leaks.

My 2003 Chevy Malibu seems to be missing...like I pulled a sparkplug off. It seems to stem from the A/C unit going off and on by itself. I replaced the A/C module inside the car and it is still doing...

We just had that same problem on our 99 Malibu, and it was the ignition coils. You can take the ignition module and coils down to Auto zone and have them test it for you. Changed two coils and the car purrs like a kitten even with the a/c on. Give that a whirl, good luck.

I have the same problem with my 2002 malibu and my mechanic told me it is a burnt resistor. I am not sure how hard it is to change and I am assuming it is a resistor on the fan.
